T-mobile has caught on with the notion that the economy sucks and they want to help. Introducing the “Equipment Installment Plan” or EIP for short which will allow qualifying individuals to purchase the phone of their choice and pay it off in four monthly installments. Apparently, it seems right now that you can walk out of the store with no money down, and expect that first payment to charge to your next bill – a wonderful “tool” … [read full article]
And I’m off, but this is my parting gift… I have to say our disbelief when the picture after the jump first arrived in our mailbox was pretty strong, but then we took notice of two threads over at howardforums (and howardforums) which seemed to confirm that such a sale was indeed taking place. A few moments before I was about to post this, one of our forum users snapped … [read full article]
Well I’m not gone yet so I’m going to keep you guys guessing on how many more articles go up today before I take off. That or I just want to get as much done before I leave so I can enjoy the beach! Either way, I’m sure you guys won’t mind! So please, forgive the shortness of this article as I am focused on the info at hand rather than witty remarks … [read full article]
Just a quick little update here. I’ll be traveling over the next two weeks and won’t be as attentive to the site as you and I have become accustom. Its been a LONG and arduous seven months now and Tmonews has grown faster and larger than we could have ever hoped. With that in mind its time for a little getaway. (Thanks for helping us grow!) I will do my best to check … [read full article]
I’m laughing so hard from the SNL presidential bash right now so I’m going to just let the picture speak for itself. T-mobile is definitely going to bring their A game this holiday season with a big push for the G1, the Behold and the Free Flight promotion previewed about two weeks ago. Flight promo countdown!
Noah from Phonedog.com managed to get his “paws” (no pun intended, well maybe) on the new T-mobile Motozine launching today. The highest resolution camera phone (5 mega pixel) available on any US carrier, T-mobile is positioning this as the ultimate picture device. Featuring Kodak technology the Motozine will certainly be with you whenever you need to capture that special moment, or if you need to capture the license plate of the car that rear-ended you. … [read full article]
T-mobile, how you love us so lately! You’re bringing good things into the wireless world of your customers. First we get the “needs no introduction” G1. We will “Behold” the Samsung Behold in short order and now we are granted 5 megapixel glory. Three phones which are sure to appeal not just to the holiday crowds, but more so to the notion that T-mobile is heavily stepping up pressure on the … [read full article]
Just a quick heads up from the TmoNews Tech Guy…. the switch to our new host is nearing completion. As I’m sure you’ve noticed by now if you’re reading this, going to tmonews.com now redirects you to an interesting looking URL. Don’t worry! It’s not permanent, and you DON’T have to update your bookmarks or anything crazy like that. It may take a few days for the URL in your address bar to go back to normal, … [read full article]
Well today today marks the end of the one week free data period offered by T-mobile for those who pre-ordered the G1. Some customers report their data plan has been switched off by an obvious technical glitch inside T-mobile somewhere that is reverting them back to their previous data plan held prior to G1 ownership. *Warning, facepalm alert!* Apparently the paid service which is necessary to access the phones features is not … [read full article]
Forgive us for the late announcement, however last night we began the process of moving to our new host. With that we took the blog offline for a while so this announcement comes a little later than we had hoped. With that little tidbit out of the way, Washington D.C. a city that needs no introduction is proud to be announced as the newest member of the magenta 3G family! As was … [read full article]
Let me preface this by saying that while the phone may be unlocked, for the you can pretty much just make and receive calls and text. While I don’t think there is a doubt in anyone’s mind most of the phone’s capabilities will soon be available to AT&T users, for the moment its pretty much just the doldrum talk and text.
UPDATE: Walmart stores will NOT be receiving the G1 till November 3rd due to shipping delays! I’m in a little bit of a rush so I’ve decided to condense two entries into one. Yesterday we ran a story via Engadget regarding Walmart and sales of the G1. While the original article stated a “launch” date of November 24th, that has since been revamped to, well, tomorrow. Purchasing the G1 from … [read full article]
