The Garminfone, having just been announced earlier this week, has made its way to the wild and into our inbox. With just a few shots, we get a quick glance at what we honestly expect to be just a moderate Android device. With no real “wow” factor outside of the Garmin onboard navigation, we expect that the MyTouch Slide is really the next high profile Android device making its way to T-Mobile. Of course, we … [read full article]
It’s really no surprise to anyone in the tech blogging world that there is a divide as to which OS platform is better. In this sense, the word “fanboy” takes on a whole new meaning. I’ve watched the comments on this blog, and many others like it, go from bad to worse when it comes to Android/iPhone/Windows Phone/WebOS and which is better. The fact is they are all good and all bad and I can only wish … [read full article]
There is little that needs to be said about this other than it’s the best of both fanboy camps. iPhone packaging, Android software, what could possibly be better? Watch and hope that this becomes the new jailbreak! Mobilecrunch
Those fine boys at Engadget managed to get their hands on quite a doozy tonight with a leaked slideshow offering up images of a future Dell Windows 7 phone. The best part? T-Mobile 3G! T-Mobile 3G! The part that’s better than that? The specs: 1GHz QSD8250 Snapdragon processor, WVGA 4.1-inch OLED display, five megapixel autofocus camera, 1GB of flash with 512MB RAM plus 8GB of storage on a MicroSD card (non-user-replaceable, we’re assuming), GPS, accelerometer, compass, … [read full article]
While we’re pretty confident that the MyTouch Slide will be a big success for T-Mobile, you might have to wait just a little longer to get your hands on one. A solid source has come through and said that while the reasons are unknown, the MyTouch Slide has been delayed until June 2nd. We’re working to confirm this but, considering our source, we’re running with the new date of June 2nd. We can only hope the … [read full article]
Well, this isn’t a surprise. The Garminfone (previously known as the A50) has been officially announced by T-Mobile. Yes, you read that right, Garminfone (say it again, slowly this time). As expected, the primary focus of this phone is navigation, and it will come with a charging dash or windshield mount. You will also find a 3 megapixel autofocus cam, microSD expansion up to 32GB, WiFi, and full HSPA alongside Garmin’s own UI over … [read full article]
We’ve already shown you a load of pictures of the myTouch Slide’s exterior, in all three variations, and now we’ve got additional exclusive images of the interface. As reported earlier, the myTouch Slide will feature the latest and greatest Android OS 2.1 along with HTC’s proprietary Sense UI. But this isn’t your average HTC Sense as the Slide will sport HTC’s newest Espresso Sense UI. Enjoy a load of interface pics after the break! Thanks, … [read full article]
You have seen the Black and you’ve seen the Red, so now it’s time for an unveiling of the white MyTouch Slide from TmoNews! Nothing here we really haven’t seen except the outside is white, a pretty and clean white. I have to say that white has become my favorite color in a cell phone. It’s just clean. It’s not necessarily clean in a physical sense, since white shows smudges and doesn’t escape the … [read full article]
Update: We’ve gotten solid tips that this plan will start April 23rd and run for an unknown period! T-Mobile is going to bring some savings to the T-Mobile faithful starting in the next few days with some awesome savings on the webConnect rate plans. The limited time promotion brings no more domestic overage charges! I don’t know about you guys but 5GB is really pushing it some months so I’m happy to see the word “overage” … [read full article]
The webConnect Rocket is T-Mobile’s first HSPA+ device and really is the first glimpse at the T-Mobile future of data. Up until now, it’s only been available in limited retail stores if you live in the Philadelphia area but, starting April 25th at 18 additional locations, you will be able to walk into a T-Mobile store and walk out with the future. Unfortunately, we’re not quite sure exactly where those locations are, but you … [read full article]
I’m just going to get this out of the way. This is a rumor. Now, I’m not one to follow what analysts say, but this one might be right (shocker!). According to analyst Mark McKechnie, the Samsung Galaxy S could be seen on all major U.S. carriers this year. Interestingly, he says that AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint will have it by June, with Verizon to follow later in the year. It isn’t often that a powerful phone … [read full article]
This is the year of the tablets, or at least the start of what may become the norm in personal computing (just go back and watch all those old sci-fi moviesor Avatar, and you’ll understand). Dell is beefing up their tablet offering by adding as many carriers as possible to their tablet line. Their Dell Mini 5, with Android, just passed the FCC with WCDMA Band IV, or AWS (just look at that arrow up there). … [read full article]
