Now This Is Just Getting Weird, Micro-sim Cards Arriving At T-Mobile Stores

Update: There seems to be a pretty mixed opinion on this but it sounds like these are for the Galaxy Tab. Ok so now this is just getting weird, first the iPhone cable arrives and now Micro-sim cards arrive. Need we remind anyone that Micro-sim cards are what powers the Apple iPad and iPhone 4. As of yet, no other devices in the United States work with this sim card so it begs the question, … [read full article]

Congrats To The First T-Mobile Customer To Own An HD7

Jared was awesome enough to hit me up on Twitter and let me know that he managed to score an HTC HD7 device from his local Walmart.  Jared, it’s quite possible you are one of the first, if not the first, “civilian” to own a Windows Phone 7 device in the US.  While we’ve seen Aaron do his own HD7 unboxing, it’s always fun to see the “little” folk do their own as well.  … [read full article]

Begun, These 4G Wars Have

The Twitter phrase and new moniker “4Gwars” started this week with T-Mobile releasing its marketing and branding as a 4G mobile provider.  Much to the ire of Sprint and now AT&T,  this has begun and will likely continue to be the subject of a “little” spat between the carriers.  The thing is, I’m almost 100% positive that was T-Mobile’s intention.  T-Mobile knows the ITU ruling and what really is required for a  “true” 4G … [read full article]

Dell To Offer Dell Venue Pro’s To Employees Replacing Blackberry, T-Mobile To Serve As Provider?

Dude, T-Mobile is getting more Dell!  Well, 25,000 more Dell employees to be exact if this report by the Wall Street Journal is accurate.  Dell has decided to move 25,000 employees over to the Windows Phone 7 platform and eliminate the company’s Blackberry program, saving them almost 25% in cellular costs.   Employees will be offered the Venue Pro in exchange for their Blackberry, however the company does plan to have Android offerings available in the … [read full article]

iPhone Cable Appears In T-Mobile Stores, Why?

David’s Update: I’ve amended the text below since at least a few took some of the wording out of context. This cable absolutely does NOT prove T-Mobile is getting the iPhone, especially tomorrow.  You shouldn’t return a recently purchased device waiting for this and you shouldn’t start camping outside your local T-Mobile.  The arrival of this cable is peculiar and the likely solution is that T-Mobile produced a 99 cent cable it can sell for $14.99.  There … [read full article]

So How Exactly Do iPhone, Android And Blackberry Users See Each Other?

To say that iPhone, Blackberry and Android users are an opinionated bunch would be the single most truthful statement I’ve ever made on this site.  C-Section Comics agrees and has put together this handy little cartoon to help sort out the whole smartphone wars escapade.  I could summarize it for you but it’s really just better if you look for yourself! Motorola Defy Goes For A Swim, Lives To Tell About It

The Motorola Defy has been billed as an “ultra rugged” design, making it quite the rough and tough Android device.  Well, sometimes carriers like to make phones out to be a little tougher than they actually are in real world conditions so Vincent from Android Community wanted to find out just how tough the Defy was.  What does Vincent do to test the rugged nature of the phone?  Hhe throws it into a pool, of course!  … [read full article]

AT&T Tells T-Mobile “What’s Up” On Facebook, Still Can’t Connect A Call

Seriously, AT&T, seriously?  Going onto the T-Mobile Facebook page and calling them out for their advertisement?  Aside from the obvious humor of this whole thing playing out over Facebook, AT&T really wants to pick a fight.  I mean Sprint had a sense of humor but you’re doing it on Facebook?  Lame, very lame, even more lame than your first attempt at calling them out. AT&T, believe me when I say that T-Mobile’s … [read full article]

Galaxy Tab Shows Up For Upgrade, Getting Closer To “Tab” Day

The Galaxy Tab officially arrives in just 6 days but it’s already made an appearance in at least one myTmobile.com account.  Unfortunately, attempts to pre-order the device were met with a “coming soon” message.  However, the same could be said for the HD7 page that already went up, yet at least a few HD7’s are said to be delivered tomorrow so who knows.  Maybe with a little luck you can order the Tab … [read full article]

And The T-Mobile 4G Attack Continues, Do You Like it?

I think it’s safe to say that T-Mobile has officially taken the gloves off and is ready to begin a whole new era in their marketing campaign.  I came across the above picture last night which has likely been up on the myTouch4G website from the day prior, but it serves as yet another reminder that T-Mobile is directly attacking AT&T and more specifically, the iPhone.  So the question I want to pose is what are … [read full article]

T-Mobile Announces Third Quarter Results

T-Mobile announced their third quarter results this morning with  mixed results.  The good news?   They added customers and made money.  The bad news?  They didn’t add a lot of customers and they didn’t make as much money as we would hope.  T-Mobile added 137,000 customers to their base with service revenue of $4.71 billion, which was straight in line with last quarter.  A grand total of 7.2 million customers were using smartphones in the third quarter … [read full article]
