Reminder: These images and video show the device’s inner guts with a dummy outer shell.  Let me say this right from the start, there is a very good chance this is the Galaxy S III. That’s the kind of move we only see manufacturers or carriers do when … [read full article]

T-Mobile, AT&T Continue Battle Over Claim Of Nations Largest 4G Network

T-Mobile currently lays claim to the title “America’s Largest 4G Network” based on coverage of 215 million people with HSPA+ technology. However, AT&T is working to one up that claim with their own figure of nearly 250 million people covered by their “4G network.” It was back in February when AT&T first tried to claim the title of the nation’s largest 4G network, but did so without providing any specific figures. Now, AT&T says they are … [read full article]

HTC One S On T-Mobile, The TmoNews Preview

Update: I’ve left the review as is, however, after reaching out to T-Mobile with concerns over the speed, I was told that review devices were not yet provisioned for T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 42 network. That would completely explain my experience and it’s not uncommon to see this happen with review devices. They are often preliminary or non-final versions of devices customers can purchase. T-Mobile provided me with the following statement:  During your review of the HTC One S, … [read full article]

T-Mobile Support Forum Moderators Says No Sensation 4G ICS Update In April

While many of you are questioning the delay in HTC’s release of the Sensation 4G update for T-Mobile, both companies have been silent since the middle of March. That is until today, when a T-Mobile support forum post helps clear the air on what’s going on. It doesn’t give us the answer we really want to here, but at least it tells us they are aware of your concerns. “The Sensation 4G will not update … [read full article]

Analyst: T-Mobile To Lose 600,000 Postpaid Customers In First Quarter 2012?

Well, this doesn’t sound very positive as JP Morgan Chase analyst Phil Cusick predicts T-Mobile lost close to 600,000 postpaid customers during the first quarter of 2012. The first quarter of every year is traditionally weak, however, such a loss would further dampen hopes that T-Mobile is capable of an immediate turnaround. As a refresh, T-Mobile lost a net 802,000 postpaid subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2011. T-Mobile reports its earnings on May 10th. If these … [read full article]

(Updated) HTC One S Hits T-Mobile’s Website For $599.99 Full Retail

Updated: Sorry guys, at the request of T-Mobile we pulled this post down earlier in the day. Given the embargo on One S reviews, they asked us to pull down the link. No matter, it spread like wildfire all over the internets anyway. The HTC One S has been present in one form or another on T-Mobile’s website since they announced the device back at HTC’s unveiling of the One series of smartphones. This new-ish … [read full article]

T-Mobile TestDrive Website Now Live And Ready For Your —- Test Drive

Update: Perhaps calling this a “cop-out” was a little too strange of language, but I stand by my assertion that this is wrong and that T-Mobile should test 4G against 4G or not at all. I hope T-Mobile recognizes that their strength lies in comparable speeds, but really shakes things up when it comes to value.  T-Mobile’s TestDrive website is now live and I will say at first glance, I’m disappointed. I’ll just get right to it … [read full article]
