This comes courtesy of the boys at Gizmodo who report Walmart as giving away a $100 gift card with the purchase of a shiny new Blackberry purchase. Taking place during the week of November 14th, that’s now for the Gregorian calendar challenged. Giz reports you can take advantage of this in store and online and while I refuse to enter the Walmart located nearest my house, a little poking around Walmart’s wireless website didn’t find this offer. … [read full article]
Well somehow this skipped our radar yesterday but apparently T-Mobile laid out “aggressive” plans to deploy 7.2 Mbps HSPA through all 3G spectrum by year’s end. Even more noteworthy is T-Mobile’s continued discussion regarding an HSPA+ rollout in 2010 that would be a “fairly broad scale” rollout. T-Mobile continued to emphasize 3G coverage will expand to 200 million pops before the end of … [read full article]
Yesterday NVIDIA’s Jen-Hsun Huang was caught with the so called NVIDIA powered “iTablet”. Today the guys over at Engadget have clarified that there is absolutely no Apple involvement in the tablet, according to the information they received from NVIDIA. According to their tipster, the NVIDIA Tablet is sporting a Tegra prototype from an ODM and is currently running Windows CE with a resistive touchscreen, and both Android and capacitive upgrades are in the cards, as well as multiple screen … [read full article]
The above picture was emailed to me about two days ago and unfortunately, shows no surprises in either price of as-of-yet unannounced handsets. The only real “surprise” is that the rumored $249.99 for the Even More price of the Samsung Behold 2 appears to be $229.99. Based on the price guide, the Behold 2 and Blackberry 9700 both price … [read full article]
The Samsung Behold 2 has gotten plenty of prime time love on the blog lately and deservingly so. Samsung’s first outing on T-Mobile will hopefully be met with lots of fanfare and glowing reviews. While we still await “official” specs, ninja sources have assured me there is very little lag in the interface and we can expect more hands … [read full article]
After T-Mobile introduced its new Even More plans, everyone was wondering why in the world T-Mobile had decided to get rid of their MyFaves plans which many, including myself, loved. If you aren’t already familiar with the MyFaves feature, it simply was unlimited calling to any 5 people (landline or mobile) who were labeled as your “Faves”. T-Mobile, in reply to FierceWireless, claimed that it’s “simply time to replace the feature”. … [read full article]
Look, this isn’t really going to surprise anyone, but T-Mobile officially posted the Blackberry 9700 for a November 16th release date today. We’ve had suggestions it might have been pushed back two more days to November 18th having already been pushed back an entire week. As it stands, T-Mobile seems to really want to introduce their very first 3G Blackberry November 16th. [read full article]
With only 11 days remaining until the expected release date of the much anticipated Samsung Behold 2, we all want to know what the specs are and most importantly what version of the Android OS will it ship with. Today, via T-Mobile Phones Blog, it looks like the Behold 2 will sadly ship out with the outdated Android OS 1.5. But not to worry, a … [read full article]
Well, you may have heard something about this, but Verizon released their Droids upon the world today. There was all sorts of fanfare, and teasers leading up to this date in history and it has finally happened. Today, Android grew, not only to incorporate an additional carrier, but the evolution of Android is upon us. I went and spent some time with the two new Android phones and well, I wasn’t entirely impressed hardware wise. The Eris, … [read full article]
Many of you have already seen the commercial T-Mobile aired almost 2 weeks ago during the “So You Think You Can Dance” show, on October 27th. The commercial briefly introduced T-Mobile’s new Even More plans. And as you may recall, I posted my thoughts on the Motorola Cliq ad, designed by Motorola, in which I rambled on about how important advertising is for a … [read full article]
There is little argument T-Mobile didn’t post the kind of third quarter results they would have hoped for. Calling it less than impressive would be too kind, but this MSN Money writer is calling out T-Mobile dead in the water. Frankly, it’s a biased, opinionated writing by someone who appears to have more of a grudge against Magenta rather than an outright argument. I can’t invalidate his points, … [read full article]
