Yesterday, T-Mobile announced that it would be launching a new Simple Starter plan, giving customers the chance to get quadruple the data for just $5 extra per month. Instead of paying $40 for 500MB of data, subscribers can now sign up for 2GB and pay just $45 per month. And the company wasn’t done there. Today, T-Mo has announced a couple of new initiatives. … [read full article]
Back in April this year, T-Mobile launched its Simple Starter plan. It was an entry-level plan costing just $40 per month and giving customers unlimited talk and text, plus 500MB of data. And now T-Mo wants to make it easier for its low-plan customers to get a decent amount of data use. For $5 more per month, customers on the Simple … [read full article]
With the arrival of Simple Choice plans last year, T-Mobile’s mission was to have a selection of easy to understand plans separated by $10 tiers. With no overages, free streaming, international texts and data, and unlimited calls and texts on all plans, the only differences are the amounts of data offered at each tier. And it would seem T-Mo wants as many people as possible joining the Simple Choice ranks: The company is sending out post cards … [read full article]
Ever since T-Mobile started offering customers a way out of their contracts with other carriers, competing network operators have been copying the move in short-term promotional offers. AT&T targeted Tmo customers specifically right before the UNcarrier 4.0 announcement, and Sprint also did something similar back in April. Now Cricket’s joining in on the act. The AT&T-owned carrier is … [read full article]
As some of you might know, I’m currently on a (working) vacation, visiting family in the land where broadband internet is still novelty, and where 4G and fibre are nothing but a pipe-dream. In that mentality, I may have missed something when reading through T-Mobile and John Legere’s announcements yesterday. Somewhere in his jibe at the state of the industry, and dissing Sprint for trying to be disruptive in a very old-school carrier way, the following … [read full article]
T-Mobile has responded to Sprint’s “disruptive” offer with its very own offer for any T-Mobile Simple Choice customer and their friends on other carriers. In short, if a T-Mobile customer “throws a lifeline” to a Sprint, AT&T or Verizon customer, both will get 12 months of unlimited data free of charge. It’s a pretty amazing offer: Starting next week, whenever a T-Mobile Simple Choice customer throws a lifeline to a Sprint (or AT&T or Verizon) customer and … [read full article]
We’ve not heard a whisper about the supposed upcoming T-Mobile friendly Lumia 2520 since the now-retired @evleaks showed it off last month. But, thanks to a tip from Tin (@atomic50) on Twitter, we’ve discovered that it’s included in T-Mobile’s “The Source for Business” guide online. The snapshot above shows up as one of the four options in the ‘Choosing the right tablets for your workspace’ section, alongside some of the usual … [read full article]
The New York Post is reporting today that Iliad is looking to raise financial support from two of the biggest companies in tech to help get another bid on the table for T-Mobile. The French telecoms giant is said to have approached Microsoft and Google after having its initial $33 per share offer for 56% in T-Mo rejected immediately. Braxton Carter, last week, stated that [read full article]
Earlier this year, T-Mobile caused something of a ruckus when it announced it would no longer be offering monthly line rental discounts for its Advantage Plan customers. The plan was to move everyone off the old monthly discount scheme on to a newer model which offered a gift … [read full article]
HTC’s One (M8) is one of the finest smartphones ever made. Its solid metal unibody build is the stuff of Samsung’s nightmares. And from tomorrow, August 20th, T-Mobile’s going to drop the price of HTC’s flagship Android phone in its latest Back to School offer. Our source informs us that the device will have its price reduced by $50 in retail branded stores and retail phone support (RPS), and there’s no need for any rebate. A note … [read full article]
