T-Mobile TV is a “new” service, which will be introduced with the HD7 and the myTouch4G (HD). T-Mobile TV is pretty much just a rebranded version of MobiTV prettied up with a T-Mobile logo but you know, we had someone put together a quick video of the leaked .apk on the G2 for your viewing pleasure! Behold, T-Mobile TV! P.S. It’s taken QUITE a long time but we’re finally back on youtube on our … [read full article]
This news has to be exciting for Motorola Cliq owners as the day finally comes near where the Cliq will finally receive the much-desired Android 2.1 update. Motorola and T-Mobile have announced a trial release of the 2.1 software release before its general public release. You need to only hit this link, complete the form and hope you are selected! Of course, registration doesn’t guarantee admission to the trial phase but hey, it’s better … [read full article]
Update: As it turns out, this was indeed meant for the UK only, as it stands Engadget and I both read it as possible for a global rollout. I apologize for any misunderstanding but calling people (mainly me) in the comments for misunderstanding the post just isn’t right. Samsung has come clean regarding the Android 2.2 update, which will grace “all operator versions” before the end of November. I know the update promises Samsung makes have … [read full article]
Now that we know pricing and the availability date, there’s only one question that needs to be answered, should I get it? The folks over at Engadget have posted an in-depth review of the HTC HD7. Although this isn’t the T-Mobile USA branded version (which will come with some extra goodies, such as T-Mobile TV, T-Mobile Family Room, the Netflix app and Slacker Radio preinstalled) the European version is basically the same. Hopefully it … [read full article]
To be honest, I’m still trying to make sense of these images we received but as expected, T-Mobile is preparing a revamp of their data plans beginning November 3rd. That $10 200MB plan we talked about on the 16th? That’s in there as well as a little bit of data plan overage talk which leads back to the whole, “what happens after 5GB of transferred data” question? T-Mobile handsets will now be assigned to … [read full article]
Today, T-Mobile has officially announced the HTC HD7 availability and pricing. Just as we anticipated, the T-Mobile HD7 will be officially available November 8th for $199.99 with a 2-year contract. The HTC HD7 will be T-Mobile’s very first Windows Phone 7 handset and sports a 4.3-inch WVGA (800 x 480) TFT screen (the largest screen on a Windows Phone 7 handset) , 1GHz Qualcomm chip, 576MB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and a 5 megapixel camera … [read full article]
Need a rugged phone? Starting November 3rd T-mobile customers can get the Motorola DEFY for only $99.99! They did such a great job with that that I didn’t feel like changing much. So there you have it, a rugged Android phone for those clumsy types out there, and for only $100? That’s a steal. This phone will surely work for some people out there. So give it a look and tell us what you think … [read full article]
While the T-Mobile G2 might have some self-repairing measures to prevent a full on hack, tweaking the device is allowed, isn’t it? Well XDA-Developers member “Coolbho3000” certainly thinks so and has successfully posted his overclock module, which can take the G2 processor all the way to 1.42GHz. We absolutely positively recommend against this mod unless you are absolutely 100% certain that you know what you are doing as you always run the risk of damaging … [read full article]
T-Mobile TV, currently available on the Windows Mobile HD2, is making its way to Android. The app will come pre-loaded on the myTouch 4G and it has already been extracted from the leaked ROM from that device. The app will be powered by MobiTV. The leaked version of the app has proven successful on the G2 and Nexus One, but anyone running Android on the HD2 has not had much luck. Overall, it is a good, pretty … [read full article]
This story has been floating around since the 14th and it’s only now that I’ve had a chance to wrap my head around it. The guys at Fierce Wireless, eagle eyed as they are managed to uncover some juicy details in an FCC filing regarding an Android Instant Messaging program that almost brought down the entire T-Mobile network in an unknown city. “T-Mobile network service was temporarily degraded recently when an independent application developer released an Android-based … [read full article]
