T-Mobile HTC HD7 Launching November 8th For $199.99

Today, T-Mobile has officially announced the HTC HD7 availability and pricing. Just as we anticipated, the T-Mobile HD7 will be officially available November 8th for $199.99 with a 2-year contract. The HTC HD7 will be T-Mobile’s very first Windows Phone 7 handset and sports a 4.3-inch WVGA (800 x 480) TFT screen (the largest screen on a Windows Phone 7 handset) , 1GHz Qualcomm chip, 576MB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and a 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. Who’s going to be picking up one of these bad boys? Of course, you can always get one before everyone else for the “low” price of $950. Sound off in the comments!

I’m guessing since we’ve already had two release dates for other handsets today from T-Mobile, I’m hoping and praying the MyTouch 4g will be the “third time’s the charm” lol…

    • Cybersedan

      I hope so to.

      • ren

        Same here

    • somebody

humm yea i had my heart set on the hd7 but it just doesn’t impress me hardware wise.

      waiting on the my touch

Waiting on Dell Venue Pro ;)

    I love android….but keen to try WM7

  • ob18

meh, we’ll see once the store has it and we can mess around with it a bit.

    • EL

I agree…although its windows 7 software…its still s windows phone which will potentially freeze….happy with my VIBRANT!!!

      • somebody

        that is illogical

      • 2FR35H

        agreed 100+

Just FYI, ALL phones have the POTENTIAL to freeze

      • BlackHawk

Yes, all phones do have the “potential” to freeze, but in my WinMo experience, Windows phones have a “tendency” to freeze more than others. Hopefully WP7 is different.

  • ThatClevaGuy

I’m very interested in this phone buy am worried about how ‘closed’ it is. I have the HD2 and I love how customizable it is. I love windows phones as long as they aren’t bogged down by bloatware *COUGH* TP2 *COUGH*…
I will to get my hands on one 1st.
I don’t think I have ever anticipated a cell phone like this one though…

    • Riopato

Can’t have much bloatware on this phone. Not enough devs to put any apps on this. Even HTC’s hub is very limited.

  • Oce

Can’t wait to get my HD7 so I can dual boot Android on it! This will be the best Android phone Tmobile has! LOL!!!

    • J-Hop2o6

or u can get the HD2 and put Android (and maybe WP7 soon) on it? its cheaper now.. plus they both have the SAME exact processor (QSD8250).

      • Oce

Actually, I already have an HD2 (purchased day 1) with several builds of Android running right now. But that HD7 looks like a real keeper! Truthfully, I’ll have to play with it in-store before I make a final decision.

      • J-Hop2o6

i didn’t mean to put the ? mark after “cheaper now” .. it suppose to look like this:

or u can get the HD2 and put Android (and maybe WP7 soon?) on it.. its cheaper now.. plus they both have the SAME exact processor (QSD8250).

but i see u have a HD2 already.. i wasn’t knocking the HD7.. im just sure u wont be able to add Android to it since the HD7 (and most other WP7 phones) wont have a microSD card slot (which Android haret’s run off of).

    • Illusive Man

Dual boot requires running android from a MicroSD card. The problem is that the HD7 won’t have accomodations for any external memory. Right now the ability to mod this phone is almost non existent.

  • Vibrant Guy

    This is a nice…

  • JB6464

Why do that when you can dual boot Android on the HD2 now.

  • Midori

If your interested, android central has turned those myTouch 4G ROM photos into a video. I apologize for my obsession with this phone! LOL!!! :)

    • Androidless

Looks good. I hope we get a release date soon.

      • Oce

        Uhh…did u eaven reed the heading? T-Mobile HTC HD7 Launching November 8th..

    • Androidless

      Looks good to me.

  • Wantsthebest

Dual booting sounds nice is it easy

  • mmeyer4663

How much off contract? I just got the HD2 back in March!

    • grothenberger

That’s just the question I was going to ask. I suspect $499.99, since that would match the pricing of the G2 and the Vibrant, but I don’t know for sure. I do know this is the only phone that could keep me with T-Mobile. I like the company, but data connections in my area are awful, even on 3G.

      • somebody

        isnt the g2 399 on amazon ?

  • smm1st

I’m getting this phone for my daughter and waiting for the Dell Venue for myself as I want a physical keyboard…hope Dell announces that launch date soon.

    • J-Hop2o6

      mid-november (17th-24th)

  • cellswag5

    Waiting on the dell phone

  • J-Hop2o6

even tho i already know the processor, u should start stating exactly which “1GHz” processor it is cuhz Qualcomm now has 2G 1GHz Snapdragon’s now.. the HD7 is using the 1G Snapdragon (QSD8250).

anyways, isn’t AT&T launching on Nov 8th also? i thought they were the Premier WP7 carrier? i thought HD7 would release on the 17th

  • Androidless

Be the first to know…my hind quarters! I signed up for some sort of notification for this and got nothing. No text or email. Useless. Should I expect the same when the 4g comes out? Probably.

    • grothenberger

I noticed that too. No email yet…

      • LuvMyGreenRobot

I think you’ll get the e-mail once it’s available for purchase.

  • tito puente

Awww yeeeeah. I’m ordering this badboy at 12:01 am on 11/08

  • Ruufus

Does anyone know if they put video out capabiliity on the HD7?

The EVO, Incredible, Touch Pro 2, etc., even my old 30GB iPod had some form of video out. Otheriwse the HD7 is too much like the HD2 except for WP7 OS.

    • CO_yeti

I haven’t seen any WP7s with TV out so I’m guessing it isn’t supported yet. As for the HD7 being too much like the HD2, that is kinda the point…

  • Nerd lust

Interesting device! Tmobile is got too much good stuff coming out! I love my bb8900, iPod touch 30 gig, and my 80 gig zune! I’m too the point I want one device for business and entertainment. I’m torn!?

  • Androidless

I don’t do Facebook or XBox, but this phone intrigues me. I doubt this thing does wifi calling so it is a no go for me, but if it did…I like the idea that everybody gets the update straight from Microsoft rather than always wondering whether the carrier/manufacturer will update my phone. That’s what worries me about Android devices.

  • John B

    limited apps….no multi-tasking….no adobe flash….no divx…no sale

    • Steve Jobless

Besides this one… No replies. When Android gets an official Xbox app that lets you do things as if you were at your 360 homescreen then I will be sold.

Open source is the rise and fall of Android.

  • IBuyCrackAtMYLocalTmoStore

    how much with no contract

    • LuvMyGreenRobot

      Most likely $499. :/

  • somebody

i really want to like this phone but it’s just far behind what it should be

    can i get a Amen

  • Riopato

When’s the the dell coming out?

  • Voice of Reason

Yes the phone is a little behind other OSs but it is brand new. give it a little time. with apps it not about quantity but quality and will there be apps to suit your needs. more functionality will come in the near future.

  • IBuyCrackAtMYLocalTmoStore

i will give this phone a try and if wp7 fails then im done with wm and will have to get use to yucky andriod :(

  • julio

    I can’t wait!!!!

  • Mae Mae

WHO THAT!(lol) Why don’t yall show this phone some love like yall did the HD2…!
See,the WHO THAT MyTouch 4G YouTube video got all of you guys in line at your nearest Tmo store already, WHO THAT, MYTouch 4G..!(lol) I don’t think yall like WP7, WHO THAT…!(lol)

  • ogopogo

Are you on crack? Or can you not string two intelligent sentences together?

    • Mae Mae

WHO THAT! Each of you are/is going to purchase a WP7.

Dude (is) is the correctly chosen verb, because (Each) is the singular subject, not (you) in this sentence,(you)it’s the object of the preposition (of). WHO THAT on crack…!(lol) My highest level of English 404…! WHO THAT! MYTouch 4G with the Genius button, WHO THAT..!(lol)

  • if the only thing that the HTC HD7 has is Windows Phone 7 but all the same features and other things like the HTC HD2, then is it worth buying!?
i want to know before actually buying the phone? For me it’s not just buying a phone and that’s it. i’m investing in the phone so it better be a really damn goog phone!

  • I want to give WP7 but call me crazy I like the Dell Venue Pro. Gorilla glass. I’m also torn between this and the Mozart. WP7 Os appeals to me much more than Android. This will be my first smart phone. I want to wait and pay full price for the phone so I’m not locked in and can change easily if I’m wrong.

    Stay thirsty my friends!

  • Michael Lococo

I’ll give it a glance… but without HSPA+ I’ll have to wait on the next release. I REALLY want Windows Phone 7.

  • MuLtIpAsS

I have an HD2 running android well! Why do I need the same phone with less hardware keys and the same specs. + WP7 is NEW… Who wants a first release? HD7 = FAIL. MyTouch 4g/HD sounds more promising. I’d even keep my HD2 running WM6.5 before I spend on the HD7 – its proven!!

    • Mae Mae

Yeah, I’m kicking it with you, my HD2 3.14 works like a charm with a WP7 UI,and a Nexus One Android build … My next mobile device will be the MyTouch 4G with the Genius button, WHO THAT. Yall know where to get the new Tmo HD2 3.14 ROM that works with just about all Android builds. http://www.mobileunderground.info/showthread.php?t=704&page=1 WHO THAT!

  • walrus

I was looking forward to this phone until I found out hspa+ is not supported. I think I will wait for the new mytouch and 4g speeds.

  • Rafael

Will the HTC HD7 run on 3G or 4G signal?

    • jers99

      I’m pretty sure its 3g
