Qualcomm hints that T-Mobile’s 600MHz 5G devices won’t come until second half of 2019

There’s been an awful lot of 5G news this week as Qualcomm introduced its new Snadpragon 855 processor with X50 5G modem, but we haven’t heard much about T-Mobile 5G. That’s changing today. T-Mobile added 1.6 million customers in Q3 2018, says 600MHz LTE now in 1,500 cities and towns

T-Mobile today reported its earnings for Q3 2018, touting it as another record-breaking quarter. During the third quarter of 2018, T-Mobile added 1.63 million customers, up from 1.33 million customers in Q3 2017. This marks the 22nd straight quarter that T-Mobile has added more than 1 million customers. T-Mobile is working to persuade the FCC that its proposed merger with Sprint should be approved, and recently the carrier put together a presentation about what its 5G network would be like if T-Mo and Sprint do come together.
