With T-Mobile’s special event just hours away, it came as no surprise last night that early signs of LTE began to form. As reported via Twitter last night, LTE sightings out of Washington DC, Baltimore, Houston and Kansas City are making their way into my inbox. Is it coincidence that those cities are among the first seven markets expected to be … [read full article]
Tomorrow is T-Mobile’s big, big day with the rumored launch/discussion/conversation of the iPhone, official LTE announcements and the formal unveiling of the new UNcarrier rate plans. It all goes down tomorrow at 11AM ET and while T-Mobile saw fit to not include us TmoNews folk, I’m definitely going to keep a sharp eye on everything that goes down from A-Z. So what can we expect and/or hope to see out of the tomorrow’s special event? … [read full article]
CNET is reporting today, March 25th, that our favorite carrier will be announcing the T-Mobile iPhone at tomorrow’s “Uncarrier” event. Although it won’t say where it got its information or even mentioned an unnamed source, the publication is convinced it’s happening. The handset will allegedly feature alongside a couple of other hot LTE capable smartphones: “Lastly, the iPhone 5, with its LTE capabilities, will be a showcase product for T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network, which is expected to officially … [read full article]
I know, I know, it’s just a Mobile Hotspot — but as T-Mobile’s FIRST LTE Mobile HotSpot, I consider the Sonic 2.0 a big deal. An eagle-eyed T-Mobile reader found one hanging around his local store and grabbed a quick video for all the world to see. If … [read full article]

MetroPCS reiterated its plea to shareholders this morning in a new letter sent through the mail to approve the merger with T-Mobile as no other rival bids have arrived. “No other bidders have emerged in the five months since the proposed combination was announced,” the company said today in a statement. “The proposed combination is the best alternative for MetroPCS to maximize stockholder value.” MetroPCS shareholders are scheduled to vote on April 12th for the … [read full article]
Breaking down T-Mobile’s new Value Plan is something we’re all working to do and hopefully this image, with its incredible detail will allow us to do just that. As a caveat, the image does still leave some lingering questions, especially those surrounding existing customers and upgrades. Still, there’s little left to the imagination regarding the company’s new Value Plan efforts that there’s no stone left unturned with the new Value Plan presented here. At first … [read full article]
HTC’s making some sweeping changes to their marketing lately with a new announcement that they are dropping the “Quietly Brilliant” tagline in future product ads. “We have a lot of innovations but we haven’t been loud enough,” said Mr. Ho, a Singaporean who is HTC’s third marketing chief in less than two years. The new approach, he says, will be bolder. HTC’s new marketing effort is just part of their effort to reassure both investors and customers … [read full article]
Update: In the hopes of clarifying a whole lot of confusion, existing customers on grandfathered or Classic plans seem to be confused about whether or not they can use customer care and/or third-party channels to upgrade. I have been unable to confirm if you can contact customer service to upgrade — regardless, there seems to be success with third party national retailers and authorized dealers. Just as we first promised, T-Mobile’s new Value Plan only environment … [read full article]
With crowd-source testing showing off possible T-Mobile LTE launch markets early this morning, we’re pleased to announce an “unofficial” list of the first LTE cities going live. Las Vegas and … [read full article]

As a long-time Pandora subscriber I really very excited to see it expand to … [read full article]
