T-Mobile reportedly lays off Metro by T-Mobile employees

Metro by T-Mobile has apparently been hit with a round of layoffs. T-Mobile has laid off employees of its Metro by T-Mobile prepaid business, according to a report from Light Reading. The exact number of layoffs is unknown, though, and T-Mobile hasn’t issued an official comment on the matter. OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, Galaxy S7 and S7 edge receiving updates from T-Mobile

A couple more updates for T-Mobile phones are going out this weekend. The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren is getting a 182.1MB update to version 10.0.27.HD61CB. It’s now rolling out over the air and bringing with it the February 2020 Android security patches. Also being updated are T-Mobile’s Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. FCC fines U.S. carriers over sale of customer location data, T-Mobile faces $91 million fine

As expected, the FCC has officially proposed fines against T-Mobile and the other major U.S. carriers over the sale of customer location data. After the FCC confirmed last month that U.S. wireless carriers broke the law by selling customers’ real-time location data, a new report says that all four major operators will face fines. T-Mobile Galaxy S9’s update to Android 10 has been paused

A few days ago, T-Mobile said that its Galaxy S9 and S9+ were starting to get their Android 10 updates. Fast-forward to today, though, and those updates have put on hold. Last year, T-Mobile launched “verHIDEzon”, a new campaign meant to poke fun at Verizon for charging customers extra for 5G access but not publishing 5G coverage maps.
