T-Mobile added 1.6 million customers in Q3 2018, says 600MHz LTE now in 1,500 cities and towns

T-Mobile today reported its earnings for Q3 2018, touting it as another record-breaking quarter. During the third quarter of 2018, T-Mobile added 1.63 million customers, up from 1.33 million customers in Q3 2017. This marks the 22nd straight quarter that T-Mobile has added more than 1 million customers. T-Mobile wants to run 600MHz experiment, asks FCC to make exception to its rules

T-Mobile has placed a heavy focus on 600MHz lately, buying up a ton of spectrum in an FCC auction last year and then putting it to use to deploy LTE. T-Mobile today provided another update on its 600MHz LTE rollout. T-Mo says that its 600MHz (Band 71) LTE coverage is now live in 1,254 cities and towns across 36 states, including Puerto Rico.
