Best Buy Joins Walmart With Prepaid iPhone 5 Sales On T-Mobile

With the news that Walmart has begun carrying the iPhone 5 on T-Mobile for prepaid customers, it should come as little surprise that Best Buy has also put the smartphone up for sale. Ultimately, Walmart remains the better deal at $629 against Best Buy’s $649 price tag. So much be being the “Best Buy” huh? Still, regardless of which direction you take, the offer is still similar to Apple’s own store pricing which handily  makes the Walmart … [read full article]

T-Mobile LTE Sightings Continue With Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Greensboro And Sacramento

It’s only been a few days since our last LTE sighting post but the crossover into July hopefully takes us one step closer to whatever T-Mobile has in store announcement wise. The number of LTE sightings in various markets is heating up more and more by the day and while some of them are sporadic sightings at best, it’s clear that T-Mobile’s engineers are hard at work all across this great land. Todays sighting list includes: Jacksonville, … [read full article]

Walmart Now Selling T-Mobile iPhone 5…For Prepaid Customers

Some good news for prepaid fans as Walmart stores have begun carrying the iPhone 5 for T-Mobile. The caveat is that T-Mobile’s sale of the iPhone 5 is only good for T-Mobile’s prepaid accounts and it’ll set you back a cool $629 dollars to do so. The offer is good for any of T-Mobile’s current prepaid plans and Walmart does offer in-store financing plans — which are completely separate from T-Mobile’s Simple Choice equipment installment plans. I’m … [read full article]

T-Mobile Sending Out Event Invites For July 10th, Rolling Out Their “Boldest Moves Yet”

I wish I could say this invitation arrived in my inbox, but the invite received by the folks at 9to5Google shows off a July 10th special T-Mobile media event. Previewed as their “boldest moves yet,” it begs the question if there’s any relation to the July 14th “Major Release” from yesterdays leaked roadmap. Hopefully, T-Mobile will see fit to … [read full article]

Analyst: T-Mobile Poised To Post First Subscriber Gains In Years

If we can put a small amount of faith into a group of those pesky analysts, T-Mobile will end a four-year drought and record its first net addition of postpaid customers in years. The addition of the iPhone combined with T-Mobile’s UNcarrier/Simple Choice installment play offering has apparently caught on with postpaid subscribers, according to “analysts.” One concern is that if T-Mobile does record its first postpaid growth since 2009, Deutsche Telekom’s asking price for all 74% of … [read full article]

Now that we’ve pinned down a release date for the Sony Xperia Z, all that’s left is to wait for Sony to make its triumphant return to T-Mobile store shelves. In the interim, we can take yet another look at a T-Mobile branded Xperia Z floating around in the wild. There’s not a lot to learn from these images that we don’t already know about the Xperia Z, but we do see the device will … [read full article]

Feel free to drop word below if you notice any major (or … [read full article]

T-Mobile Roadmap Highlights Sony Xperia Z, Lumia 925 Release Date, July 14th “Major Release”

The day has finally arrived, well not the release date itself but the day we can tell you the release dates for the upcoming Xperia Z and Lumia 925. Along with that is the unknown T-Mobile 768 which is almost assuredly a prepaid device backed by Huawei, ZTE or some other manufacturer that releases under T-Mobile branding. As with all leaks, dates are subject to change but this looks pretty solid for all three handsets. Not … [read full article]

Samsung Galaxy S 4, HTC One Google Play Editions Now Available

Today is the day for all your stock Android fans as the HTC One and Galaxy S 4 Google Play vanilla/stock Android Google edition devices make their way into the Play Store. Keep in mind that the Galaxy S 4 is the “better” device for T-Mobile given the complete spectrum of frequencies available to cover all of T-Mobile’s needs. The HTC One on the other hand lacks the 1700 AWS HPSA+ band so is best picked up by … [read full article]

(Updated) New Group Of LTE Sightings Includes Portland, Buffalo And Montgomery

Update: I almost missed a number of sightings out of Albany, NY this past 24 hours so…there’s Albany in here now as well. It’s been a few days since our last LTE sighting post, but that certainly hasn’t been due to a lack of emails pouring in. Today’s group includes three cities (Portland, Oregon; Buffalo, New York and Montgomery, Alabama) that are not a part of the extended list we have worked off for T-Mobile’s May and … [read full article]
