John Legere on 2015: The wireless revolution is speeding up to warp speed

I couldn’t help but think of Star Trek when reading John Legere’s forward-looking post for next year. Published a short while ago, T-Mobile’s CEO outlines what he sees happening over the next twelve months in the wireless industry. It’s certainly worth a read and doesn’t stop with just mobile phones and carriers. Of particularly interest to us though is his take on the state of the wireless industry. T-Mobile in 2014 – A year in review

Having had such a good year in 2013, I wasn’t all that optimistic about 2014. But, being the ever-persistent Un-carrier, T-Mo decided not to pay any attention to the script. Instead, its 2014 was so memorable I’ve virtually forgotten everything it did the year previous. In … [read full article]

T-Mobile is CNN’s tech company of the year

Earlier today, CNN announced that it has named T-Mobile the U.S. tech company of 2014. Citing T-Mobile’s industry shake-up as the reason for winning the award, CNN acknowledges the superb products launched by other tech giants. But despite Apple announcing the iWatch and Apple Pay, Microsoft’s new lease of life under Satya Nadella and Facebook’s WhatsApp purchase, it was T-Mo who came out on top. Because of T-Mobile’s actions in 2014, wireless carriers have fallen over one … [read full article]

Uncarrier 4.0 was 2014’s biggest T-Mobile move according to you

Towards the end of last year, we started hearing from our sources that T-Mobile was planning to launch an awesome Uncarrier move at CES. And sure enough, at en event in Las Vegas last January, John Legere and T-Mobile made waves. If it wasn’t the AT&T Macklemore concert that got your attention, T-Mobile offering to pay off your Early Termination Fee to switch probably did. It was a big move, and one which most of you seem … [read full article]
