So what do you know?  This morning I wake up and gleefully see that HTC has formally invited members of the media world to an event to be held September 15th. There is no indication that is related to a T-Mobile device launch but given the proximity to our supposed T-Mobile G2/HTC Vision/Vanguard launch date, we can’t help but get some hopes up!  We know what we want this to be but we can’t get past … [read full article]

So What Do I Think Project Emerald Is?

In the recent days, weeks and months, I have seen the name “Project Emerald” tossed around to almost every single smartphone that T-Mobile might get.  At this point, I have to say I’m a little frustrated with how frequently and how loosely it’s being used.  To that end, the name itself has almost lost its luster in my eyes because of the guessing game being played hoping to nail the story.  When we first got word … [read full article]

T-Mobile Sued For Throttling Data Speeds, Having An “Unlimited” Plan

Hey, guess what, another lawsuit complaining that a wireless carrier doesn’t really offer an “unlimited plan.” Unfortunately, this time it’s levied against T-Mobile by lead plaintiff Trent Alvarez who states he entered into an agreement with T-Mobile by purchasing smartphones and then received a message regarding a reduction in data speeds due to exceeding the 10 GB limit. The suit brought in Yolo County, California claims that T-Mobile’s advertisements for “Unlimited Web & Email” are misleading/deceiving and … [read full article]
