T-Mobile Webconnect Rocket Preview

All jealousy aside, Kevin Tofel of JKontherun got a first glimpse at the Webconnect Rocket, T-Mobile’s first foray into HSPA+ USB modem goodness. In a word, “wow,” the speeds he experienced are everything we can hope for, with the best yet to come. At best, he saw 9.11 Mbps on the download side. Damn, that’s fast. With plug-and-play installation, a microSD memory slot and speeds that will impress your mom, the Webconnect rocket … [read full article]

One More Dose Of Confirmed HD2 Release Date

Realistically I’d say we’re pretty confident of a March 24th release date for the HTC HD2. T-Mobile themselves have said March, a leaked retail slide nailed down the 24th as a solid date and now Home Media magazine has gone and further confirmed the March 24th date. Aside from the release date comes a little more info on the T-Mobile/Blockbuster partnership which will allow T-Mobile users to buy or rent new-release movies. Users can … [read full article]

Nothing here that we haven’t already seen, but T-Mobile has got a pretty website set up to keep you enticed on the HTC HD2. There is little question this will be a flagship entertainment phone for T-Mobile. If you want an opportunity to see the phone rotate and spin, this is the website for you. Dell Mini 5 Coming To T-Mobile?

Now this I didn’t see coming and have to say I’m pleasantly surprised and yet still a little hesitant to call it absolutely true. The boys over at Slashgear did a little hands on with the Dell Mini 5, a 5-inch Android phone/mini-tablet/something to watch videos on and claim it’s eventually going to support our beloved AWS bands. The modem connection has quadband GSM and then will be offered in various SKUs suited for European, AT&T or[read full article]

Motorola Handset Passes FCC, Motoroi Anyone?

While most of us have geared our attention toward the upcoming Windows Phone 7, the FCC has just passed yet another Motorola phone with AWS 3G bands. According to FCC documentation, the Motorola handset (FCC ID IHDP56Kz1) uses the same battery model as the Motorola CLIQ and Droid, so it’s most likely an Android handset. Additionally, the Motorola device will feature Quadband GSM/EDGE class 12, Triband HSDPA 7.2 Mbps 900/1700/2100, aGPS/Standalone GPS/aGPS, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR and … [read full article]

It was only last night that we hinted towards an enhancement update coming this week and now Moto has gone and confirmed exactly that. Enhancements for battery life, touchscreen and GPS aren’t exactly Android 2.1 but they’ll do for the time being. In the meantime, you can at least expect … [read full article]

Windows Phone 7 Buzz Is Terrific

Now here is something that captured all my tech nerd attention, Gizmodo calling Windows Phone 7 the “most groundbreaking phone since the iPhone.” I love Gizmodo and read them 85 times an hour but they, like most tech nerds are exceptionally harsh to phones and if they are saying that, I damn well believe it. So love or hate Windows Mobile, it’s gone to the fishes now and it’s prepared to be replaced by … [read full article]
