Jeff Binder, former Layer3 TV CEO, has left T-Mobile

Following T-Mobile’s purchase of Layer3 TV last year, Layer3 TV CEO Jeff Binder joined T-Mo to lead the carrier’s new television effort. Now he’s officially moved on. Jeff Binder left T-Mobile on May 1st, the carrier has confirmed. T-Mo told Light Reading that Binder helped to launch TVision and now he’s planning to return to entrepreneurship. TVision Home launches today in select markets

Today’s the day that T-Mobile’s new TV effort goes live. TVision Home launches today in Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and Longmont, CO. More markets will get TVision Home later this year. Pricing is set at $90 per month including a $9.99 per month discount for T-Mobile customers that’s available to everyone for a limited time. TVision Home is T-Mobile’s new TV service, launching April 14th

One week after announcing its content deal with Viacom, T-Mobile has taken the wraps off of its new TV effort. TVision Home is T-Mobile’s television service, a rebranded and upgraded version of the Layer3 TV product that T-Mobile bought last year.
