New Training Docs Correctly Identify T-Mobile’s Newest QWERTY Device

You didn’t really think we could make up a crazy name like the Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G did you? I wish we had, but — we didn’t and so there it is, in all it’s QWERTY glory. So here’s what we know for sure about the device: 1.5GHz processor, still no word on S3 or S4, our guess is on the latter 4.0″ display Running Ice Cream Sandwich Mobile hotspot capable of up to 8 devices … [read full article]

Samsung Successfully Tests Jelly Bean On Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note?

The boys from SamMobile are back once again with a follow up to their report last week on Jelly Bean and the Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note. Thankfully, if they are correct (and they usually) are, the news is good, nay it’s great as Samsung has successfully tested the Android 4.1 update on both devices and plan to make it available via Kies sometime in September/October. How long it will take US carriers to … [read full article]

Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q’s Real Name Is…

I’ll make this pretty brief since it’s clear the Galaxy S Blaze Q didn’t launch today and while we’re not sure why we are sure of one thing — the name has changed to the Galaxy S Relay 4G. Here in the tech blog world we often put some faith in these press images as the dates often coincide with a release and/or announcement. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, an August 15th launch has come and … [read full article]

With rumors now swirling that Jelly Bean is almost ready to make its Galaxy S III debut, it was only a matter of time before it “leaked” in one form or another. Thanks to Mexican Android site AndroidMX, we’ve got an idea of what the new software  looks like running on a Galaxy S III. Of course, TouchWiz is still front and center and that’s pretty much what you’re going to see all the time … [read full article]

Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean Update Landing On August 29th? Maybe, But Don’t Expect It That Day

Samsung’s about to have big month starting with an announcement expected in New York this afternoon to introduce a new Galaxy Note, the new 10.1″ edition. Along with today’s launch, Samsung is also expected to launch the much-anticipated follow-up to their hot selling original 5.3″ Galaxy Note with an event coming on August 29th. That’s not what interests us though, what DOES interest us is a rumor coming out of GSMArena that says Jelly Bean … [read full article]

T-Mobile Website Now Shows Black Galaxy S III Renders, Mystery Continues

After we posted up our original albeit skeptical post on T-Mobile possibly using renders for a Black Galaxy S III in a YouTube video, it was met with a lot of pessimism, optimism, and in some cases flat-out denial. All of those feelings may still be right, but now it’s T-Mobile’s own website that’s showing off Black Galaxy S III renders. There’s three pictures below as well as a new video on T-Mobile’s “Test … [read full article]

Good news this morning as T-Mobile is set to update their edition of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus to Ice Cream Sandwich. Unfortunately, the update requires Samsung’s Kies software to complete the download, so no sitting back and waiting for the OTA. The change-log highlights all the various Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich improvements, and Media Hub’s need for ICS after August 27th. So don’t wait to long to grab this update. Is This T-mobile’s First Windows Phone 8 Smartphone? With LTE?

Windows Phone fans, now would be a really great time to pay attention as believe we’ve discovered T-Mobile’s first Windows Phone 8 device — with LTE. That’s right, your eyes are not deceiving you as the user agent string indicates this device is  running Microsoft Internet Explorer 10, which tells us this is running Microsoft’s newest OS. The better news, tucked away inside the radio portion of the document is a listing for LTE — so not … [read full article]

Will T-Mobile Carry A Black Galaxy S III, Or Are My Eyes Just Playing Tricks?

Ok, so it’s ENTIRELY possible this is nothing at all and it’s just our eyes playing tricks on us, but that looks suspiciously like a black Galaxy S III. Now, under normal circumstances I’d shrug it off and say “nah, just the lighting,” but on the heels of Samsung’s official Facebook account leaking the existence of a Black Galaxy S III, things get a little more interesting. What tops this off is that T-Mobile re-uploaded … [read full article]

Apple, Samsung Trial Yields Sales Figures For All US Phones Sold

Ah yes, another day in the Apple vs Samsung trial that yields some interesting sales figures and stats. This time, we’re getting a look at both companies sales figures beginning from when Samsung’s original Galaxy series lineup first went on sale. Most important to us of course is how T-Mobile handsets have performed and thankfully, we can tell exactly that. For the Samsung Vibrant, it sold close to 973,000 units in 2010 and 48,000 units in … [read full article]
