T-Mobile to throttle customers who use unlimited LTE data for torrents/p2p

In an internal memo to staff, it’s been revealed that T-Mobile is going to clamp down on users taking advantage of their unlimited 4G/LTE plans for peer-to-peer file sharing and other misuse of their data allowance. T-Mobile helps Rhapsody pass the 2M subscriber mark

  Today, Rhapsody announced that its recent partnership with T-Mobile has boosted its subscriber base to 2 million paying subscribers. That’s up from the 1.7 million it had in April. In its most recent Uncarrier announcement, T-Mobile unveiled a service it launched in partnership with Rhapsody International. T-Mobile announces new limited-time family plans: 4 people get 10GB LTE for $100, from July 30

T-Mobile has just announced a new, competitive family plan which it’s going to launch on July 30th. A family of four will be able to get 10GB of LTE data (2.5GB each) until 2016 for $100 per month. The plan includes all the usual Un-carrier benefits, including unlimited talk, text, free international data and unlimited music streaming. Reminder: New Simple Choice plans go live from today

As was announced a couple of weekends ago, T-Mobile is changing its Simple Choice plans from today. As part of the changes, there will now be 4 tiers at $50, $60, $70 and $80. Each of these will share unlimited global roaming texts and data, as well as Stateside international texting. As part of the global roaming, 122 countries and destinations are now included.
