T-Mobile reportedly closing a number of Metro by T-Mobile stores

A new report claims that T-Mobile is closing a large number of Metro by T-Mobile stores. According to the National Wireless Independent Dealer Association, T-Mobile has sent 120-day termination letters to anywhere between 5-15% of Metro by T-Mobile stores owned by large dealers, stores near the end of their lease, and stores that are low performers. Metro by T-Mobile has apparently been hit with a round of layoffs. T-Mobile has laid off employees of its Metro by T-Mobile prepaid business, according to a report from Light Reading. After coming out on top in J.D. Power’s U.S. Wireless Customer Care report earlier this month, T-Mobile has now finished first in another J.D. Power ranking. J.D.
