T-Mobile says Sprint merger won’t mean end of MetroPCS, Boost Mobile, or Virgin Mobile

In addition to talking up its wireless-only TV and home internet bundle, T-Mobile recently talked to the FCC about what would happen with its prepaid brands if it merges with Sprint. T-Mobile to offer wireless-only TV and home internet bundle if Sprint merger is approved

T-Mobile hasn’t said much about its streaming TV ambitions since its Layer3 TV acquisition earlier this year, but a recent FCC filing has shed a bit of light on what T-Mo’s TV plans look like if it’s allowed to merge with Sprint. T-Mobile upgrades more cell sites with additional mid-band LTE capacity

T-Mobile CTO Neville Ray today confirmed another round of mid-band LTE upgrades. Ray says that hundreds of cell sites have been upgraded with more mid-band LTE capacity in the past two weeks.
