Another week, another list of upgrades.

Queue the “They aren’t doing this fast enough” crowd.

    • riverhorse

Or the “this is only a pretext to raise prices” deplor-err activists.

  • stupid8911 .

Sylmar, stand up!!! Hehe. Haven’t seen that on a list here in a LONG time. ¡Viva El T-Mobile!

I see you ” Copperas Cove”

“more mid-band LTE capacity” This means better speeds where you already get a signal, It does not mean a better signal anywhere, correct?

    • SirStephenH

Correct, although it may also mean that you get better service towards the edges of existing coverage as well.

  • Brandon

I’m happy that T-Mobile is doing all of these upgrades. But what about putting actually coverage where there isn’t any.

    • Jay Holm

Supposedly, that’s what the nationwide 600mhz Band 71 will do, fill in the gaps.

    • JStatt

Gee, I’m sure John Legere and gang never considered coverage where there is none. It’s not like it costs billions of dollars in bandwidth licenses and network upgrades, or that they’ve already made that investment to do so with 600mhz spectrum which they are working on deploying.

Still can’t get a signal along I-44 in most of Missouri. A Major Highway. Still T-Immobile in my book.

    • JStatt

I get fine (not good but fine) signal on I-44. Are you on a newer phone?

I visit Honolulu every year. This summer LTE speeds were a dismal 2-3mbps. Last year it was 20+. What the hell happened?

    • slybacon

Millions more people on T-Mobile. I’ll be visiting there in a month from now.

      • alfonzso

That could be an argument, but Honolulus population is only 350K and the speeds are dandy outside of Honolulu. I’m curious to hear what kind of speeds you’ll be getting. Enjoy your trip!

        • slybacon

I’ll try them out and try to let you know.

        • slybacon

Inside Honolulu, about 25 down and 26 up. Outside Honolulu at Aulani, 81 down, 36 up.

  • mikeZo6

northeast philadelphia no improvments at ALL ! ( mayfair )

Are the upgrades they speak of Band 2? I’ve been getting more of Band 2 lately, when I check on LTE Discovery. My city is mentioned on the list here. Please help.
