Apple releases iOS 8, go download!

It seems an age since Apple unveiled its next iteration of the iPhone and iPad’s operating system. Unlike last year’s update, there’s no major design overhaul. Instead, Apple’s added some great features, and refined others. And today, iOS 8 has finally arrived. T-Mo LG G3 gets software update [Post Update: Wi-Fi calling enhancement]

In the late hours of last night/early hours of this morning, T-Mobile delivered a new software update to its LG G3 users. Several readers got in touch to confirm the download. It’s roughly 155MB in size, and it’s not clear exactly what the new software includes except for some minor bug and performance fixes. Build number KVT49L.D8511L0m was made available to all G3 users on T-Mobile. Android version remains 4.4.2 for the update.  [read full article]

T-Mo Galaxy S5 firmware update available

This morning, T-Mobile and Samsung rolled out an OTA update for the Galaxy S5. It’s not a major software update by any means, but it is a firmware update designed to boost performance and reliability. It’s still Android 4.4.2, but with baseband version G900TUVU1BNG4. Update details simply states “Improved performance” for the 87MB download. Pretty vague, and certainly a minor improvement. Lumia Cyan with Windows Phone 8.1 update rolling out from today

Earlier this year at its own special event, Microsoft showed off what was coming next for Windows Phone, alongside some new devices (Lumia 635 and 930). From today, LG G2 users on T-Mobile should be receiving software updates on their devices.
