T-Mobile CEO Philip Humm and the CEO of LG met on stage at the T-Mobile CES 2011 Press Event and showed off…the LG G-Slate.  Well, more like they held it in their hands and let the “rest of us” wonder what hides behind that black exterior as we snapped away image after image.  If you’ve seen the promising albeit lacking preview video, you have an idea of what to expect and these images will serve … [read full article]

T-Mobile Previews Their Upcoming 42Mbps HSPA+ Upgrade, With Video!

Editor’s Note:  I know the camera work is a little shaky, I had to do a balancing act with my laptop and taking notes so I’m sorry it’s not the best! T-Mobile showed off a little bit of their upcoming 42Mbps HSPA+ network by doing exactly what I would do to test it and that is to download an album and play a video game.  Honestly, if you’re a computer gaming person, the frame rates in the … [read full article]

T-Mobile Says No Way To Raised Prices For 4G Usage

While there was certainly a lot to look forward to coming out of the T-Mobile announcement in terms of data speeds, the most important point was that T-Mobile will not raise data plans for 4G usage.  T-Mobile said unequivocally that they don’t believe they need to charge a “premium or “toll” for 4G use.  This is great news, just great news as other carriers plan tiered pricing structures for use with their upcoming 4G networks.  It’s reasons … [read full article]

Hands On With The Motorola Cliq 2

While the original Motorola Cliq never matched the success of the Droid series, it had its share of followers. Motorola is back with the Cliq 2 and we spent some time with the device this evening and came away reasonably impressed. The 1GHZ processor was certainly able to throw everything I could at it and didn’t seem to slow down. There were a few moments where my clicks didn’t register on the screen but I could chalk … [read full article]
