AT&T’s “Ooops” Damages Their Biggest Argument In Favor Of T-Mobile Takeover

AT&T’s Thursday filing to the FCC related to the T-Mobile USA takeover was accidentally not redacted allowing for some details to come out that they likely would have preferred to stay private. Updated: The trouble seems to be over as we just received a statement from T-Mobile: “T-Mobile customers in New York City experienced a temporary service disruption Thursday evening. The disruption was due to an internal power outage at one of our network switching facilities. Hidden inside the press release of the myTouch 4G Slide announced this morning is the addition of 7 cities to T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. A very big welcome to: Barnstable, Massachusetts Chico, California Lancaster, Pennsylvania Ogden, Utah, Redding, California Vineland, New Jersey Winchester, Virginia Welcome to the HSPA+ family friends! With the addition of these markets T-Mobile’s 4G network now reaches 190 markets and over 200 million people!

T-Mobile is continuing it’s promise to continue rolling out its 42Mbps HSPA+ network with the launch of 47 more cities tonight. The end of May saw the announcement of 50 more cities and tonight’s 47 additional cities brings T-Mobile’s nationwide 4G 42Mbps HSPA+ network up to 102 cities.
