T-Mobile CEO Philip Humm Talks To CNET, Discusses New Strategy

It was just last week that T-Mobile laid out its future plan for turning the company around and taking over the world.  At the head of this wireless world domination plan is Philip Humm, T-Mobile USA’s new CEO who has only been on the job for a little over six months.  A significant plan was laid out that could require T-Mobile selling off “non-strategic” assets along with turning the financials around … [read full article]

T-Mobile Has Their Eye On Third Place, Can They Do It?

Seems like today was a mini-goldmine of sorts as the employee event that took place today had quite a bit of focus on T-Mobile and the future.  One of the bigger messages we are told was the emphasis on catching and surpassing Sprint.  Of course, this is quite a lofty goal and,  by all accounts, no small feat.  Sprint is millions of customers ahead of T-Mobile, working on their own 4G network and … [read full article]

A Special Message From Carly To T-Mobile fans

Oh T-Mobile, how sometimes you do something extra special that just makes us proud to call ourselves Magenta users. This time, it’s a special message from Carly, which is really just her saying hi and waving, but she’s waving at you! That’s right you, you know who you are! I met her, she’s a lot taller in person than I thought, or maybe I’m just short. Either way, super nice! T-Mobile YouTube

T-Mobile FINALLY Takes On Verizon AND AT&T With Carly

So what’s the fun in having a great device running a slow network? Well, there is no fun at all according to this new T-Mobile advertisement taking on both Verizon and AT&T. I can’t say how happy I am that T-Mobile is extending the fight beyond AT&T and going after the real competition, Verizon. You won’t find this ad on tv for another week, so feel free to rematch it here a few times. [read full article]

T-Mobile Releases Next Commercial With Carly And AT&T

T-Mobile has released another commercial in its myTouch4G/4G-network campaign, this time knocking video calling over wifi.  This commercial highlights the limitations imposed by wifi only video chat when one of the users steps outside the wifi zone, or in the case of this commercial, outside the cones. The “glitchy” effect given to the “iPhone4” showcases the need to stay within the wifi range in order to have a call that that doesn’t end up looking … [read full article]

T-Mobile has a set of brand new ads showcasing 4G devices and the 4G speeds they perform on with none other than Charles Barkley and Dwayne Wade.   Directed by Spike Lee himself, these ads will premiere Christmas day during NBA games on both ESPN and ABC.  However, thanks to someone at Dime Magazine, they’ve found their way to YouTube a few days early and are available for viewing pleasure.  Check them out and let … [read full article]

Sprint Claims To Be Only “True” 4G Network, They Also Have Big Pipes

If Sprint was hoping to steer the conversation back in their direction with this, the latest entrance in the “4G” argument, they should have tried harder.  This video, which offers up a mini-tutorial on how Sprint 4G works as well as some digs at the competition, effectively does neither very well.  All I learned from this video is that Sprint apparently has a larger pipe than everyone else. Claiming that “other carriers might claim to have … [read full article]

Verizon Claims Fastest 4G Network; How Should T-Mobile Respond?

Well, what do we have here?  It’s another entry into the “4G” war by big red Verizon herself.  The above image, via Twitter, shows that Verizon is ready to tackle the 4G issue and formally enter the 4G war.  This time the ad hits AT&T where Verizon has enjoyed hitting them in the past, their 3G network.  Anyone remember the “There is a map for that” ad campaign?  While T-Mobile has enjoyed … [read full article]
