Last week HTC held a press conference to release the HTC Hero and, more importantly to some, the Sense UI. I, along with many other Android fans, was extremely excited for this great UI, then we found out that the magnificent Sense UI was not coming to Google branded phones. Well, not much time has passed and what appears to be a nearly final version of the Hero’s firmware, which just happens to be blessed with the Sense UI, has been bestowed upon the G1, and some HTC magic users. That is the good news, so what is the not so good news? While your G1 will be looking spiffy with a complete UI overhaul, the G1’s RAM limitations will make it a bit sluggish (but reports say it is still snappy), and there may be problems with WiFi and Bluetooth at the moment. At least you will get Flash 10 support (and that makes everything better). What do you think? Leave your opinions in the comments.
Well well, what do we have here? The hotly anticipated Touch Pro2, courtesy of a very generous and photo happy tipster (thanks!), and finally some varied enough out-of-the-shadows pictures to give us a little more detail. They may not be in the sunlight (sans those white flash spots) but who are we to complain? We think the photo up top, front and center, showcases a particular detail which seems to have been “hotly debated” ever since the Needs Meet Solutions promo shots came around – the row of buttons at the bottom of the phone.
Unlike what many have come to believe to be some heavily protruding buttons, it appears the design is only slightly raised out of the body of the phone. If we’re not going to have flush buttons, this has got to be the second best thing, well, at least compared to horrible depictions of buttons as thick as M&M’s. You can also notice the look of the phone seems much smoother than in that scary promo shot, and not quite so dull. Here’s a direct link to the image if you really can’t remember. Alright, let’s open up the phone and check out some palm of your hand goodness
Fans of QWERTY and touchscreen rejoice! You’ve probably all had your eyes on this device already and just can’t get enough to look at, but here’s one where you can imagine the device in YOUR hand. For anyone on the fence about the looks of this lovely device, you ready to commit? You know you want to… sound off in the comments. Three more pics past the break.
We recently obtained some very nice pictures in our inbox showcasing a much better view of the Dash 3G compared to the G1 and, of course, the MyTouch 3G. Doesn’t seem to leave much to the imagination when it comes to the thickness of a phone you can expect to put in your pocket – or wherever else you choose to store it. Current Dash users looking to upgrade can look forward to buttons that are bigger and appear much easier to reach than you’re used to, and a slightly more colorful look. Three more pics after the jump!
On a side note, along with this post comes a new way of previewing mages from here on out. We’re just testing it out… sound off in the comments if it works for you!

Want some more MyTouch action? Your wish is our command. The guys over at Engadget received a tip which included unboxing of the MyTouch 3G and the MyTouch 3G User Guide. C’mon, who couldn’t go for a little user manual action?
We all knew it was bound to happen sometime soon, an actual MyTouch 3G unboxing video! Be sure to turn your speakers up if you wanna hear the (very low) audio and keep in mind that it cuts out at 1:22 so no, it’s not your speakers. What more can be said? I’ll let the video do the talking:
Just keeps getting better and better for the Android folks huh? With the recent official announcement of the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G, here comes some more good info! Android users rejoice! Flash hath come. Adobe’s CEO, Shantanu Narayen, announced in the Q2 audio press release that a version of Flash Player 10 beta will be available for Smartphone’s browsers starting this October (during Adobe MAX). The FP10 will be available on Google Android. As of yet there is no official news regarding Air support.
I know we have been patiently awaiting the official announcement of the MyTouch 3G, and guess what, its here! T-mobile has launched a website full of all sorts of fun facts to help launch this device. The MyTouch 3g will carry a 3.2 inch (480 x 320) touchscreen, WiFi, a 3.2 megapixel camera, exchange support, Android 1.5 (how else would you expect to type?) and of course Tmobile 3G (quadband EDGE for roaming is also in there, in case you were wondering). The site is also counting down to the July 8th presale date (only an agonizingly long 16 days away). The posted pictures give a great look at the three color choices that are available (white, merlot and black). Engadget is also reporting that the preorders will ship in late July, with national availablity in early August. They are also reporting that it will set you back $199.99 with a two-year contract. Who else can’t wait for this Android phone? Show your appreciation in the comments (and try out that nifty reply button while you are at it).
Just announcing a little change to the way our blog posts operate around here: You can now reply to individual comments within a post. We’ve noticed a decent amount of people typing out replies to others using an “@username” format at the top of their comments – no longer will that be necessary. Using the new system, each comment will have a “Reply” link below it and replying to that comment will produce that reply right underneath it in a handy little box. Each comment can be replied to up to three levels deep, with each box being an alternating color so as to flow a little easier on the eyes.
While we continue to hear more and more news surrounding the announcement of the upcoming HTC Android device (and other Android phones), known fondly as the MyTouch 3G, it seems as though some more pictures have been leaked (by one of our very own). The pictures, yes multiples, show the device in black and have the MyTouch branding. As much as I liked the white version, the black just looks heavenly (okay, so that may be backwards). Tell us what you think in the comments. More Pictures after the break!
