T-Mobile Achieves Record-Breaking Speeds in New 5G UL Tx Switching Test

T-Mobile celebrates a new milestone as it achieves an uplink speed of 345 Mbps on its 5G SA network. This number was achieved when the Un-carrier tested a new feature called UL Tx switching.  The 345 Mbps achieved by T-Mobile is a significant number since it is the fastest-ever recorded in North America that makes use of sub-6 GHz spectrum. This achievement shows that T-Mobile’s technology has the potential to revolutionize data transmission between mobile devices to … [read full article]

T-Mobile, Deutsche Telekom Complete 5G SA Testing

T-Mobile and Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier have successfully completed testing its 5G Standalone (5G SA) roaming. This accomplishment leverages on the latter’s Security Edge Protection Proxy (SEPP) to complete the first hosted SEPP 5G SA in the world.  Basically, this gives customers on these networks the ability to continue using 5G when they travel internationally. The companies collaborated on this for a couple of months.  Once this new technology gets adopted, these are the benefits that it … [read full article]

T-Mobile Rolls Out 5G Network Slicing Beta for Developers

Earlier today, T-Mobile announced its new 5G network slicing beta for developers. This is a new technology they are offering to developers who want to “supercharge” their video calling apps with 5G SA. This rollout makes T-Mobile as the leader for game-changing capability for developers.  Along with this, T-Mo has invited developers to sign up to test its network for their video calling apps. T-Mobile Rolls Out Four-Carrier Aggregation

Insanely fast– that’s what T-Mobile promises its new four-carrier aggregation on its 5G SA network will result in. And today, the Un-carrier has started rolling this out to its customers. But what does insanely fast mean?   According to T-Mobile’s recent tests, the peak speeds for this network topped 3.3Gbps. Through this, T-Mobile can combine several 5G channels to deliver greater speed and performance. The Un-carrier has merged four 5G channels of sub-6 GHz spectrum: two channels of … [read full article]

T-Mobile achieves new 5G first milestone

T-Mobile has achieved another 5G first– a data call leveraging uplink 5G carrier aggregation using its nationwide 5G standalone (SA) network. In tests, T-Mo’s engineers were able to reach uplink speeds of 207 Mbps, which is the fastest with sub-6 GHz spectrum.  In its release, T-Mobile revealed that they were able to achieve this thanks to its partnership with Nokia and Qualcomm. With the speed they reached, T-Mo conquered a first on a live commercial 5G standalone … [read full article]
