Next week’s T-Mobile Tuesday gifts will include T-Mo umbrella

Next week’s T-Mobile Tuesday gifts are now official, and another piece of T-Mo-branded gear is coming.

On Tuesday, March 19th, T-Mobile customers can get a free T-Mobile umbrella, just in time for spring rain showers. It looks like there will be two color options available: magenta and black. This umbrella joins the long list of T-Mobile swag that’s been offered through T-Mobile Tuesdays, including socks, a travel mug, a zip pouch, and a water bottle.

Also coming next week is a free one-night disc rental from Redbox, $0.10 off per gallon of gas from Shell, and a free taco from Taco Bell.

There will not be a sweepstakes next week.

    Yay! Redbox again!

  • Manbearpig

I have to take my note 9 in for the jump on demand. I think I’ll wait till Tuesday

    • Trevnerdio

What are ya upgrading to? S10?

      • Manbearpig

Yup. Usually do S then Note. I snuck in an LG and an iPhone one time.

        • Trevnerdio

Nice, I can dig it. I’m keeping my Note 9 for longer than usual so I can upgrade to the S10 5G when it decides to show up.

        • Manbearpig

5g is nice but I live in Cincinnati so I doubt we will get it anytime soon

        • Trevnerdio

Cincinnati is the T-Mobile forgotten land, I just don’t understand why it’s so hard to get things done there lol

Great for little kids only very small umbrella

Okay. I’m new to the T-Mobile Tuesday promos (plus we’re switching to T-Mobile this weekend from Sprint before our next billing cycle starts!) so can somebody tell me how this works.
Is it 1 taco per account or per phone? (I’m moving 4 phone lines, with me, the wife, the daughter and the son away at college, everybody’s going to want their taco!).
Same with the umbrella; is it one per account or can we get 4 umbrellas (somebody’s going to want black, others will want magenta)? Or do you have to sign up early before they run out?

Like I said, I’m new to this, and very excited to be making the jump!! Thanks!

Most of the time it is per phone though some high value items are per account. I believe Pandora was per account. The MLB was probably per account. Tacos i believe is per phone. I have not gotten a taco though because you have to order them online and for me Taco Bell is more of a spur of the moment thing. Not worth the extra time – when I only go when I am short on time anyway.

A couple of years ago MLB was per line but it wouldn’t surprise me if they limit it to per account now.

        • marque2

Basically you just have to try it and if you get more than one – bonus!

You need to download and install the T-Mobile Tuesdays app on your device to participlate.

Dunkin Donuts cards are per line, as are Redbox rentals. You can only use one Redbox redemption code per transaction, so if you want to rent more than one movie, keep that in mind. For Shell, you need to sign up for the rewards card/app. The T-Mobile Tuesdays app will launch the Shell Fuel Rewards app so you can redeem the offer. The .10/gallon discount is added to the default .05/gallon for a total of .15 off.

You can save the Dunkin Donuts cards in the app and merge with an existing card. The Shell offer usually must be used by midnight Friday.

As marque2 stated, the promotional subscriptions..MLB..Pandora, are generally one activation per account with a single active stream.

I’ve never redeemed the T-Mobile merchandise, but my understanding is while you can claim them in the app, that does not guarantee that the item will be available at the T-Mobile store, so get there early.

I looked into the Taco offer, it is extremely restricted. You must order in the app, and it’s a basic taco that you cannot upgrade. It seemed like too much trouble for me.

T-Mo wasted an entire Super Bowl ad on the Taco Bell offer.
I remember it was a brief, 15-sec ad, so that’s about $2.5 million. They could have held a sweepstakes for that amount of money: T-Mo Tuesday cash giveaway, 2500 winners each get $1,000.

    • Nobody Special

MLB is not per account as many suggested (it’s per each individual line). You will have to claim it in the tmobile tuesday app beginning on March 26th till April 1st.
Because you will have 4 eligible T-Mobile lines….you will have the ability to obtain 4 MLB accounts using the AtBat service for free.

On Android you redeem the tacos per line via T-Mobile Tuesdays app linking you to the site, the app does not have it.
Though you can’t upgrade, you can modify it, e.g. I remove the beef and add beans.

I normally call the store before going to make sure they still have stock of the item when I leave work.

Remember last year when they only shipped a few umbrellas to each store?

They were all taken a short time after opening.

    • RC

I never even bother showing up to try and get one of these ~freebies~ anymore. Every time in the past I’ve gone, they claim to have already “given out” all of whatever it was they were giving away that week. And of course, the look on their faces when you walk in and they realize you’re not a potential customer but just some cheapo trying to score some free stuff is priceless…

      • Stevennnnn

Depending on who’s working at my T-Mobile store they don’t even check my phone – just walk in and they give me the freebie and if I ask for another they give it to me.

What I like to know – What happens to the extra inventory left over? Do the stores send it back? then what?

    • steveb944

We got extras and we showed up after 5.

  • matt

is this the same umbrella we got last year?

    • JT

Much better/ is normal size this time.

    • SurvivingSunnyvale

is this the same umbrella we got last year?

You mean that most of us DID NOT GET last year because the supply so rediciously limited.

  • Francisco Peña

mine had a cut in the umbrella. Get to work as its raining and open it up, and viola! a hole.

great job TMo… I’ll just give it away to a homeless guy or some pretty girl on campus.

  • Steve

I went to my local T-Mobile store and the clerk said that they only have the pink umbrellas left. I asked him “what color?”
And the 3 employees behind the counter all answered at the same time and said
    “PINK!”

I think they need to re-watch all of the training videos.
