T-Mobile flips its 700MHz switch in Houston and surrounding areas

Following Extended Range LTE expansions in the Kansas City, Miami, and Fresno areas, T-Mobile has officially treated another part of the country to some tasty 700MHz coverage, and this one’s in the middle of the US.

T-Mobile says that its Extended Range LTE service is now live in Houston, Texas. That includes both Houston proper as well as many of the nearby cities and towns. Here’s the full list of Texas locales that now have T-Mobile 700MHz coverage:

  • Brookshire

  • Cinco Ranch
  • College Station
  • Conroe
  • Friendswood
  • Galveston
  • Hedwig Village
  • Hitchcock

  • Kemah
  • League City
  • Lufkin
  • Missouri City

T-Mobile’s been hitting quite a few major metro areas with its 700MHz coverage, and we know that it’s busy building the service out in other areas, like New York City. With a goal of getting 700MHz in more than 350 markets by the end of 2015, expect lots more expansions in the next few months.
