Motorola Motoroi T-Mobile Bound

In an interesting turn of events (and some expert sleuth work), another Motorola Android device has been confirmed to be T-Mobile USA bound.  Reportedly, the device in question is the Sholes Tablet, or the Motoroi.  The phone was seen waltzing around the FCC with ID IHDP56KC6 (certified for quadband EDGE plus T-Mobile-friendly 1700 / 2100MHz HSPA with a peak of 10.2Mbps down and 5.6Mbps up), bluetooth, GPS, Magnetic Compass, WiFI and a 1390 mAH battery.    If this is anything like the Korea bound Motoroi, it will have a 3.7-inch capacitive WVGA display, 8 megapixel camera with 720p video capture, HDMI-out, the same OMAP3 core as the DROID, BLUR and multitouch is questionable.  Look for this thing in March, head past the break for all sorts of goodies and don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments!

Does T-Mobile Have More Up Its Sleeve?

t-mobile-headquarters-bonn1

Good afternoon TmoNews minions readers! There has been a lot going on in Magenta’s world in the past few weeks, and it looks like the news just keeps on coming. Yesterday we received quite a few emails from our sources stating that a new Android device was in the works, codenamed the MyTouch Slide/MyTouch 2. Our sources pegged the device for a May 17th release. Today another one of our trusty ninjas has hit us up claiming that T-Mobile has more up its sleeve. T-Mobile is rumored to be releasing another Motorola Android device (Sholes Tablet?) on March 10th. Our source also claims that on March 17th, T-Mobile will be releasing a Nokia Smartphone (N900 anyone?). Sony Ericsson lovers if the original Equinox color didn’t appeal to you, you can pick up the Equinox January 20th in the shade of Ocean Blue. Our sources are also stating that the Samsung T139 will be hitting the shelves February 3rd. Hooray! First in line for this one!

As always all these dates are super tentative and subject to change.

Stay tuned and leave your thoughts and hopes in the comments!

Motorola Phone Passes FCC With AWS Goodness

motorola-phone

While most of us have geared our attention toward the HTC HD2 or  HTC Nexus One, the FCC  has just passed another unknown  Motorola phone (FCC ID: IHDP56KC6) with T-Mobile AWS 3G bands ( 1700/2100 ). Could this possibly be the Android powered Motorola Sholes/Sholes Tablet that was rumored to be heading Magenta’s way? Or could it be another wannabe “iPhone killer”? Only time will tell! According to the FCC these are some of the specs the Motorola Phone includes:

-Quadband GSM/EDGE 850, 900, 1800 and 1900

-HSDPA/HSUPA up to 10.2 Mbps

-Standalone GPS

-eCompass

-Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR

-WiFi b/g

-Battery model BP6X / SNN5843A / 1390 mAH (same as the Cliq)

Leave your hopes/dreams in the comments!

Sholes Tablet Gets Pictured?

sholes_main

Following up the recent images that were leaked of the rumored Motorola Sholes Tablet, it looks like this baby wants some attention. Still classified under the RUMORS column, the Sholes Tablet has a pretty good chance of hitting our very own Magenta. In regards to the outside casing, the Sholes looks extremely similar to the Motorola Droid. After looking closely, and deciding whether or not I was going insane seeing things, the leaked image shows an odd lump on the right side of the device. God knows what that is, but I just hope when it hits Magenta (if it does) it gets some serious surgery. Also one of the pics shown after the break, reveals a 5.0 megapixel camera, instead of the rumored 8-megapixel camera it was said to have. Hit the jump for more leaked pics! Feel free to express your thoughts in the comments!

UPDATE: According to AndroidandMe the images on this post seem to be China Unicom’s version of the Sholes Tablet (XT701). Hopefully the States get a different sleeker version of this device.

Motorola Sholes Tablet Sneak Peak

Sholes-Tablet1

Its been a while since we’ve heard anything regarding the infamous Motorola Sholes/ Sholes Tablet, that according to the leak we released appears to be coming to T-Mobile USA. Note this is still classified as a rumor. Courtesy of the folks over at Mobile Android China, we can finally put a face to this mysterious MotoBlur powered handset. Well maybe not a face but a glimpse of it. So far the  specs look pretty impressive, the Sholes Tablet is rumored to pack a 550MHz OMAP TI 3430 processor (identical to that of the Motorola Droid’s), a 3.7″ touch screen, 800 x 480 resolution, HDMI port, 3.5mm headset jack, UMTS/HSPA, and an  8 megapixel camera with  xenon flash to top it off. The Sholes Tablet will come with Android OS 2.0 but by the time this bad boy hits the shelves it might already come preloaded with the yet to be released Android OS 2.1. Larger image after the jump! NVIDIA Tablet Rumors Continue

500x_nvidia-tablet

Yesterday NVIDIA’s Jen-Hsun Huang was caught with the so called NVIDIA powered “iTablet”. Today the guys over at Engadget have clarified that there is absolutely no Apple involvement in the tablet, according to the information they received from NVIDIA. According to their tipster, the NVIDIA Tablet is sporting a Tegra prototype from an ODM and is currently running Windows CE with a resistive touchscreen, and both Android and capacitive upgrades are in the cards, as well as multiple screen sizes. But as a surprise to us all, Engadget claimed that they were told, the Tablet MIGHT be dropping on T-Mobile’s horizon around March 2010. Please take this as a grain of salt, because as of yet, nothing has been confirmed and there really isn’t any hardcore evidence supporting this theory. Don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Please Let This Be Real

mnt_stor2-wc2-dfw1_435870_www.tmonews.com_web_content_wp-content_plugins_cforms_attachments_noid-sholes

A trusted ninja dropped this off in our inbox earlier today and we’ve been trying to get a handle on what we are seeing. Apparently, it’s from an internal portion of the MotoBlur website available to reps only. If I am not mistaken, that says the “Sholes UMTS T-Mobile US” AND “Sholes Tablet T-Mobile US.” This isn’t the first time we’ve seen an indication of an existing Sholes Tablet, however, this is the first time there has been any indication the Sholes or its Tablet form could come to the big magenta. I’ll be trying to follow up on this with mucho effort, but at this point we’ll chalk it up as a main course of total rumor with a huge side of hope.
