T-Mobile Preparing For Super November With Multiple Smartphone And Tablet Launches

If you’ve been eagerly waiting to hear just what exactly T-Mobile has in store for their November 2nd super-mega-launch day since we first brought you word 48 hours ago then the above image should be exactly what the doctor ordered. This is very reminiscent of November 2010 when another high-profile launch day took place in November giving us the myTouch 4G, Motorola Defy, LG Optimus among other devices. This time around T-Mobile is bringing out a whole lot of juice to the table with Android, Blackberry and tablets oh my!

This time around it isn’t just November 2nd that is getting the glory as week following will bring out another two high-profile devices with the Samsung “Robin” which is better know as the Galaxy Tab Plus 7″ Samsung Tablet will arrive November 9th. The RIM “Dumoine” is better known to the world as the Blackberry Torch and arrives on November 9th. This roadmap also indicates the second piece of intel that confirms both the October 26th launch date of the Samsung “Arnold” or Galaxy Tab 10.1″ tablet and Huawei Sonic 4G Mobile Hotspot for October 19th.

So how about that super-launch day on November 2nd that peaked our interest just two days ago?Well we’ll find two brand new myTouch by LG devices in the Maxx and Maxx Touch that we’ve seen peaking around T-Mobile’s YouTube account and T-Mobile.com in the past few weeks. Also on the LG side is the LG Flip II which saw it’s first picture get taken overseas some time ago. Next is the HTC “Omega,” better known to the world as the HTC Radar 4G which has already seen its official announcement and will be hitting store shelves November 2nd as well. After that is the Huawei “Tallsome” which we’ve already seen pictured and expect to hear more about at Fall CTIA 2011 taking place next week. Last but not least is the Samsung “Ancora” which we believe is the replacement for the Exhibit 4G and might be the long rumored mid-range Samsung Galaxy smartphone or even the Galaxy W.

Something to note on the myTouch by LG devices is that neither device is labeled as being “4G” which substantiates our earlier claim that these devices are mid-tier and set to appeal to a Family audience.

While we’ve been able to confirm the rest of the dates on here it’s interesting that a roadmap which is less than a month old lists incorrect dates for the HTC Amaze 4G and Galaxy S II. We won’t hold that against anyone as we are confident the rest of the dates are spot on. The HTC Amaze 4G and Galaxy S II however are locked in for 10/10 pre-order and 10/12 for in store purchase. Ignore the above dates in this image.

As a final thought we hope you’ll notice this roadmap covers runs through the second week of November so we’re hopeful that T-Mobile has plenty more in store for the holiday season.

the date has been change… i guess due to the release of the next iPhone… they try to release these phone before the iPhone, but regardless with apple marketing… people will be informed that the new iphone will be out within that time period.

If the specs of the iphone sucks… i might resort for the samsung or htc… just hate samsung update issues… but the specs is outstanding.

  • sad day… no Motorola phones… heck they don’t even sell the Defy anymore. One of the better mid range phones out there imo.

    • Cmon

so glad tmobile did away with motorola. horrible phones. the defy was the first good launch in a while for them

  • chris

i would love to get the radar 4g but the 8gb memory is a deal breaker. no one these days has only 8gb of data jk, but seriously 16 should be the new standard. idk if it uses flash memory or an internal sd, but i doubt it costs that much to upgrade it. uggggghhh tmobile get a decent wp7 device!!!!!!!!

  • SublimeDavid

    neat

  • Jaygqitalia

These damn phones are 2 expensive upfront. Including the taxes, all the good phones are gunna be over 400 out of pocket.

    • Jaygqitalia

Lol to me, the October roadmap seems more exciting than the November one. eventho it doesn’t matter to me lol.

Not an HTC or 4G?  No more myTouches for me.  Guess the myTouch 4G is the last one I’ll buy.

    • Anonymous

I feel ya on that. Though to be honest the MyTouch line is completely ruined by the terrible mishmosh OS and useless apps they slam on the poor thing. My mytouch slide has next to no issues since i rooted it, a LOT faster too!

  • Pablo1215

Tmobile has their work cut out for them if they hope to stay relevant when everyone else will be getting some sort of new iphone.  Just not looking so good for ol magenta.

  • Daghost

$400 for the galaxy 10.1 is a good deal.

  • Cameron W3st

A bunch of LG and SamSUCK devices? grreeeeaaaat.  My Galaxy 1 was a piece of shit…my g2X is a piece of shit…

I want to stay with you and keep on loving you T-Mobile, but you are making it REALLY hard…especially since I know that if I have hardware problems with the Galaxy 2, you won’t do anything for me except tell me its samsung’s fault and that I need to talk to them…

One thing Apple does have the best of is support for their products…they always own up to faults and do what they can to make things better…not very happy about this roadmap.

If I cant get the HTC Titan or the Nokia Ace, Ill be leaving tmobile for sure….

    • Smith

I am with you. All they offer is bunh of crappy Androids. Tired of waiting for T-Mobile. If they don’t offer HTC Titan or Nokia Ace I happily move all my 5 lines to another carrier that have these two phones.

I wonder if the Ruby was originally slated to be the next myTouch.  It would follow with the codename scheme used for the prior non-slide myTouches.  Sapphire(HTC Magic/myTouch 3G) and Emerald(HTC Glacier/myTouch 4G).  Do they use gemstones as codenames for any of their other lines?

    • J-Hop2o6

Ruby is the HTC Amaze 4G.. It looks like a blend between the myTouch4G and Sensation.

What are the chances of t-mobile getting the nexus prime? because i don’t want to buy the SG2 and then find out that the prime is coming out.

    • RamyLoco

This is exactly my dilemma. I just don’t know how long to wait! I waited all summer as the Galaxy 2 was out internationally for quite some time and all the rumors indicated that it would be out by August. Now it’s Oct. and the blogs are loaded with news of the Galaxy 3 as well as the Prime.

    • Anonymous

Since its made by google and is a nexus and that we had a nexus since the beginning of it all I would say a 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999998765% chance that we will get it. Be patient my friend only 1 month or 2 we will have it by years end just know that.

  • Nearmsp

I must say T-mobile has really gone out with new devices to make up for its inability or unwillingness to bring iPhone 5 for its customers. The thing that riles me is that Samsung Galaxy S2 is available on AT&T and Sprint already and it is also cheaper there! There are no excuses for that. I guess they saved some more money by signing away the exclusive 1 month or so to other companies. T-mobile is squeezing every drop of mula that it can. Not good for customer retention. T-mobile can now only pray that iPhone 5 is not a blast, otherwise it will rue for not having won this device for its loyal customers. Tomorrow will be an interesting day with all eyes on the release of the iPhone 5!

    • Guest

Not really gone out with new devices when all they offer is bunch of Android crap. If tey offer mor eoptions: more WP7 and BB then yeah maybe but with this list nope!

It’s all crappy and buggy Android devices.

      • Anonymous

Except you are just being an a$$ and assuming they will have bugs because they are android. get outta here with your noise.

dont know what everyones obsession with iphone is all about ,its rather boring if you ask me and android offers so much more now

    • Yoy_man

I have a htc sensation and I have to admit it its full of bugs I always have problems and all the music players suck really bad including double twist and I’m not into the whole rooting thing cuz I don’t want to lose the warranty but I had an iPhone and I never had problems I loved it I’m excited about tomorrow cuz I’m going back to ios

      • Romeo Pangilinan

don’t you love the “white htc” rebooting screen!! damn that shit bugs luckily i was able to sell mine

      • n900mixalot

        why did you leave iOS?

    • Anonymous

iPhone comes with the Apple ecosystem, which includes their support, their user experience, the plethora of accessories, and most importantly their content offerings, which are practically unrivaled, except by Amazon. It’s also a much simpler and intuitive experience. They might be boring for some, but perfect for others. Bought my mom a G2, and that was a mistake. It’s more complicated for what she needs and that kind of prevents her from using it to its fullest capabilities. An iPhone would have beenerfect for her. Simple, intuitive, and does what it needs to do. Heck, I’m on my third Android device (Sensation 4G), and I’m sick of dealing with Android devices that are constantly buggy and become a pain in the ass over time. My iPad has never given me any of the annoying problems I get constantly with Android. It’s not for me any, pre. If T-Mobile were to get the iPhone, I’d sell my Sensation in a heartbeat and wouldn’t miss a thing about it.

I cannot figure out why carriers aren’t offering more non smartphone devices. While the obvious answer is that they are getting a TON more money from us smartphone users, there are still people out there who cannot and should not have a smartphone. It makes no sense to alienate a chunk of their customer base. At this point in time you can get better dumb/quick messaging phones by going prepaid.

    • What’s so hard to figure out? There’s more money in data than voice or text.

    • Anonymous

The Average consumer doesn’t want dumbphones anymore the amount of feature phones being used are incredibly small

    Hey DAVID,

Any word on the Nexus Prime?  I haven’t heard much about this device.  Any idea if it’s coming to T-Mobile?

  • RCJ2002

    Hey DAVID,

Any word on the Nexus Prime?  I haven’t heard much about this device.  Any idea if it’s coming to T-Mobile?

    • Just going by what Google has done in the past 2 years when selling Nexus devices… Tmobile probably won’t sell the Nexus Prime in their stores but it will be available for Tmobile customers. just like the Nexus One and Nexus S, it was available to purchase unlocked straight from Google or Bestbuy, but T-Mobile did not carry the actual device in their stores

      • RamyLoco

This is helpful information as I’m very eagerly awaiting news about this phone coming to Tmobile. Are you aware of whether the phones you mentioned from Google or Bestbuy could be purchased at a discount with use of a Tmobile upgrade? I have be saving my full upgrade for the best possible dual core phone and i’m leaning towards the Nexus Prime phone as I’m tired of the skins the carriers put on phones.

        • Yes. I believe both Google and Bestbuy welcomed T-Mobile upgrades towards purchasing the Nexus devices for T-Mobile. I was an even more plus customer (no contract) at the time when the Nexus S came out so when I went to buy at Bestbuy I had to buy it at full price but I remember the other 2 options they asked me were if I was a new customer opening a new contract with TMO or if you had an eligible upgrade with T-mobile and they ran your number and zip code through their upgrade checker just to confirm with T-Mobile that your eligible. I think you should be fine when the Nexus Prime is available.

  • Cameron W3st

Looks like a lot of LG and SamSUCK devices on that map…no good Tmobile…

I want to keep loving you and staying with you but you are making this VERY hard. I had the Original Galaxy…it was AWFUL…I have the G2X…it’s AWFUL… and the worst part is that with both of these phones Tmobile offered me no help. I was told with both phones that they were manufacturer problems and Tmobile couldn’t help me…

I will NEVER buy a SamSUCK or LG again

I dont want to come off as a FanBoy here, but one thing I DO respect about the Iphone and Apple is that they have EXCELLENT support…if something is wrong, Apple admits it’s faults and offers a solution…too bad Tmobile can’t seem to do the same thing…No iPhone…at least as an option to people who want it, POOR move Tmobile…VERY poor move

    • Anonymous

You do realize that Apple is the manufacturer, and not the service provider right? In this case, you’ve had LG and Samsung phones, have you tried seeking assistance from them?

I have the G2X, and prior to the update it was god-awful…after the update and the suggested master reset, the phone has been near perfection. Sucks that you haven’t had the same luck as I have :(.

      • Cameron W3st

Yes I realize that…but it doesn’t matter what service provider you have…if you go in to ANY apple store, they will take care of you…it isn’t as easy with LG or SamSuck…they don’t have stores…or anyone that you can interact with face to face

        • Guest

Sad to see you say SamSuck instead of Samsung. That just take away any credits (if you had any!) from you comment.

Plus if you are going to use SamSuck for Samsung I suggest you use CrApple for Apple as well.

Everyone knows Apple never admit it’s they fault. They say it’s your fault you hold it wrong. You use it wrong.

Stoping being iSheep and say BS and lies. Go play with iLoser and stop wasting internet for your full of shits and lies you iSheep

      • Anonymous

What Apple says is not how their support team reacts. Apple has had the best customer support I’ve ever dealt with, both in store and over the phone. It doesn’t take a fanboy to see that fact, but it does take a fanboy to try and ignore it.

    • Spanky

After a bad experience with the Vibrant, I am not too keen on Samsung myself. However, Apple is no different. “You’re holding it wrong” does not constitute admitting fault and/or offering a solution.

      • Jflaco33

I have the epic touch 4g and also have had the vibrant and the galaxy 2 4g the gs2 line is way much better. No lag what so ever the gps is flawless and eight out of the box if ur not on the current firmware u get the latest firmware. Beautiful phone. Much better then the htc sensation I currently have right now for t-mobile just waiting for the gs2 for t-mobile to release october 10

      • Specie8472

        I
fixed my bad experience problem by installing custom os on it, and install a front camera for $25. That was fun, I enjoy tinker with it, don’t think iphone allows that.

    • Jeff

Are you kidding? Apple is a phone producer, and T-Mobile is a mobile phone service. Of course Apple will take responsibility for their products, T-Mobile doesn’t even make phones, they sell service for them. Have you ever tried getting customer service from AT&T or Verizon? No thanks, I’ll stick with T-Mobile there. Every time I’ve had a problem as long as there’s a warranty or insurance, they’ve been more than happy to help me replace my phones. And for the record, the Samsung Galaxy S 2 will beat the iPhone hands down in most categories so go ahead and buy one if you want!

    • Responding only to morons

Then do yourself and all of us a favor and leave T-Mobile and go to a carrier that carries the IPhone and shut the hell up.

    • Specie8472

It’s easy, get iphone unlocked use it on Tmo. Many people do that. I fixed my “original galaxy” problem by installing custom os on it. That was easy too.

    • Anonymous

I’m pretty loyal to Apple and most of their devices, in fact i’m probably getting the 4GS because i’m up for upgrade.  (And yes i have T-mobile(work)and AT&T(personal)) but lets not forget the whole antenna fiasco.  Apple never really wanted to admit its fault on that one.  So we can’t say that apple admits its faults very well.

  • That is super information!! Thanks for sharing it. – I’m going to Tweet about your blog.

  • Davenycept

Ohh please guy..what do you want? theres nothing wrong with original galaxy.. Just get iphone then

    • Spanky

Nothing wrong with the original Galaxy? Not even the GPS and the RFS file system?

I am happy that the Torch is coming to T-Mobile.  I just hope that they don’t price it ridiculously like they did with the Bold 9900 and that it priced competitively with AT&T’s version.  If so, then T-Mobile has probably saved two customers that I know of.

Lol all the hopeful ppl for nexus prime, verizon passed on sgs2 because prime is a verizon exclusive

    • Auser72

Or they passed on SGS2 because it’s specs were similar to their Droid Charge. And you are correct, the Droid Prime will be a exclusive (as with all Droids), but the Nexus Prime(as with all nexus products) will not be a exclusive.

      • Jflaco33

actually nexus prime is exclusive to verizon for the first 3 months due to the fact that verizon passed on the gs2 line!!

        • Auser72

Actually the Droid Prime will be an exclusive to Verizon. The Nexus Prime, a pure google device (minus droid bloatware) is a different device. Most people who buy Nexus, are looking for pure google experience and google support.

    • Droid Prime is a VZW exclusive, Nexus Prime which essentially is the unlocked version w/o all the Verizon bloatware will probably be available unlocked for Tmobile and AT&T customers just as they did for the Nexus One and Nexus S.

    • how dare you, Obama will kill you for that

    • Anonymous

Its not going to be a Nexus prime verizons is a DROID Prime. Thats fine they can have their “Droid” but its completely asinine to even think for a minute that a Nexus would be exclusive or even more so not coming to t-mo as unlocked.

Windows phones blow. They have just as many issues not as good as features or apps. People come back with windows phones always asking if they can get an android. Windows os is not user friendly. The only thing I like about windows is how responsive their touch screen is

    • Desperado_87

actually the WP7 OS is the smoothest OS on the planet. the fact that it is not a toy may dissapoint the android community. but for us students and professionals we are really enjoying the trouble free OS that is WP7 and Mango. However the issue that we do not offer any of the better WP7 devices is what hurts us. HD7 is only 3G. the Radar is going to be tiny. We dropped the ball here Magenta as the HTC Titan would have been the clear choice in dominance for this OS. i now have to get a crappy troublesome, 12 updates a year android OS device. i gave my sensation 4g away so i doubt the Amaze will impress me.

      • WP7SUCKS

Its easy to give away phones when Microsoft is paying you to tout their crap. If this were a stock chatroom, you’d be accused of “pump and dump,” trying to create the illusion there’s some fandom for WP7 crap that isn’t attached to a Microsoft paycheck. Give it up. Microsoft is an also ran, trying desperately to be relevant in an Internet-based world but believing it still revolves around Office. Wake up, dippy fanboy, MS is an anachronism.

        • Anonymous

I’m so curious as to what WP7 did to you that is stimulating your online social movement against it?  What exactly are you so emotionally attatched to that the existence of WP7 threatens so much that you felt you have to go to great lengths such as posting with a screen name such as yours?

Aside from the obvious trolling?? what is the point of what you are trying to accomplish????

        • WP7SUCKS

Gouv, I’ve been a Windows developer virtually my entire career – over 25 years. So this notion that I have a “fear” of WP7 is laughable. Microsoft has demonstrated its chronic ineptitude in the mobile OS marketplace for years, and doesn’t need my “social movement” against it. What I loathe is the obvious attempt to create the *illusion* of widespread support for it in forums like this one. The only relevant number? 2%. That’s its market share. 2%. If you like it, great, but please stop acting like there’s some groundswell of support for this visionary, breathtaking, new OS. While better than before, to say WP7 is better than MS’ previous attempts in the mobile OS marketplace is like saying the Yugo was better than the Edsel.

MS core business model hasn’t changed in close to *three decades*. Now, saying that, I understand that a cash cow is a cash cow, but at some point if someone doesn’t see that Google and GoogleDocs represent a rethink of application access, and that *paying* for Office365 is part of a dead or dying business model, it merely shows how out of touch the company really is.

If you like WP7, power to ya, good luck with that, and have a great day. You’re entitled to like it, others are entitled to create the illusion of its success, and I’m entitled to call it like I see it – another gasping attempt for a company out of its depth to manufacture relevance in a market that has *raced* beyond its reach.

        • Hmmm I wonder why HTC said a few days ago that it gets 30% of it’s smart phone revenue from WP7 phones. I think you don’t know what you are talking about.

Get a Dell Venue Pro. It has a nice sized screen and 4G speeds ( i clocked over 10Mb/sec on mobilespeedtest.com). I really like mine. it has been in my pocket for 2 months now and still looks beautiful. You have to buy it directly from Dell.

I think it’s fair to say that windows phone is user interface is friendly, it just isn’t as flashy or appealing.  People are vain and that’s just the way the consumer market works.

In all honesty,   I find it works better than most android devices that pop out “force close” errors within the first 3 hours of using them.  No offense but, i highly doubt you’ve ever created something and put real heart and soul into it like windows phone dev’s did.  Just because you don’t like something, it doesn’t mean it blows. Really good software engineering contributed to some of the really good features on the OS.  So unless you’ve ever engineered something or created something useful that actually will end up touching the lives of others than don’t be so rude and knock it down.  You don’t seem to have the understanding of what goes into making something anything.  Stick to your realm of understanding, it’s probably easier that way and less obnoxious for us all.

      • Hmmm what kind of fanboy are you? An iFanboy or or an Android drone? I’ve tried all 3 and like WP7 most.

Do we have *any* rumors or speculation about the Nexus Prime coming to T-Mobile? I’ve waited this long for the stinking SGS2, I could wait another month for the Nexus Prime…

Having owned an HD7 (WP7 phone) and multiple Android phones like the Droid X and Sensation (which I currently own), I have to say that I prefer Android. WP7 is still a good OS, but it still has a ways to go which is why I put it right behind Android and iPhone.
