FCC releases broadband coverage map

Recently, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced that they have launched a new broadband map that details cellular coverage throughout the country. According to their announcement, the map displays the areas covered by the four major wireless carriers in the country: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and US Cellular.  Through the map, users can see where they can expect 4G LTE broadband service with at least 5Mbps download speed and 1Mbps upload speed. T-Mobile updates 5G coverage map

Together with its continued 5G network expansion, T-Mobile has revised its online coverage map to show accurate information. FCC report says T-Mobile, other carriers overstated their coverage maps

A new FCC report says that T-Mobile and other U.S. carriers misrepresented their rural coverage. The FCC conducted drive tests of T-Mobile, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular’s networks and found that they only achieved the minimum download speeds predicted by those carriers’ coverage maps 62.3% of the time. T-Mobile launches “next-gen” coverage map, shows real user experience

In a blog post this morning, T-Mobile’s Chief Technology Officer – also known as Grand Master Wizard of networks – Neville Ray announced a new coverage map.
