TmoNews Video Hands On With the T-Mobile G2X

The T-Mobile G2X was easily the most impressive T-Mobile device I had an opportunity to spend time with during CTIA 2011. The combination of stock Android and the dual-core processor really impressed me and this may be the first Android phone I purchase. Although physical hardware didn’t wow me, the performance of the phone sure did and this is definitely going to be a winner for T-Mobile. Throw in the combination of possible AT&T … [read full article]

Early Hands On With The Sidekick 4G

We’re coming to you CTIA 2011 in Orlando and we just had an opportunity to go hands on with the Sidekick 4G. First impressions of the phone are pretty positive especially in terms of the hardware which just feels awesome. There is a definite Sidekick feel to the device and that’s a great thing. To be totally honest, the Sidekick 4G by Samsung feels a little sturdier or well constructed than the Sidekicks of old. Unfortunately … [read full article]

Is The T-Mobile G2X Quad-Band 4G? Future Proofed?

I can absolutely see how this is interpreted in two ways but it appears that on the T-Mobile.com product page for the T-Mobile G2X there are quad-band 4G services. As you can see in my awesome screenshot job above the available bands are 850/900/1800/1900 for 2G services. Right after that shows AWS Bands IV / 2100 which are the current T-Mobile 4G HSPA+ frequencies. Moving right past that onto the second line as part of the … [read full article]

Unfortunately without an available data connection they weren’t able to see just how well the phone holds up on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 21 network but it’s always nice to get a look at the phone that isn’t a marketing video. While no release … [read full article]

HTC Pyramid Specs Hit The Inbox, Launching In June With Android 2.4?

I know there is a lot of confusion regarding the AT&T/T-Mobile deal but what seems to be forgotten is that life goes on. The deal could fall apart, the government could reject it or a thousand other things could take place that causes it to not happen. With that in mind, T-Mobile is running business as usual which means phones will still launch. Thankfully, to try and smooth the masses I’ve received some coincidentally timed information … [read full article]
