SoftBank reportedly still interested in T-Mobile-Sprint merger

sprintlogotmo

The rumors of a T-Mobile-Sprint merger are back.

A new report from Reuters claims that SoftBank is willing to give up its control of Sprint to T-Mobile parent company Deutsche Telekom in order to get a T-Mo-Sprint merger done. While SoftBank would reportedly discuss different deals, sources say that the company is willing to cede control of Sprint and then get a minority stake in a combined T-Mo-Sprint.

SoftBank hasn’t actually approached Deutsche Telekom regarding a possible deal because of the anti-collusion rules related to the ongoing 600MHz spectrum auction. Once the auction ends, though, it’s expected that SoftBank and Deutsche Telekom will begin negotiations about a possible deal.

SoftBank owns 83 percent of Sprint, but it’s said that SoftBank is frustrated by Sprint’s lack of major growth in the US.

Both the CEOs of SoftBank and Sprint expressed interest in merging with T-Mobile, and so today’s report doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Whether or not SoftBank giving up control of Sprint would make this merger appealing to Deutsche Telekom remains to be seen, but some have suggested that the current political environment under President Trump could be good for a potential T-Mo-Sprint deal.

The rumors are back? Please…the rumor never died. Softbank will do ANYTHING to make this happen since they seen their investment cost more than its worth. DT knows better, they paid one of the highest merger prices in telecom to buy out, merge and create TMUS back in 2001 – and they haven’t seen a full return on that investment yet. So why would they take Sprint under the wing, especially with the Sprint debt looming over them.

  • The Swami

my own personal negative bias/opinion toward Sprint aside, i can’t see the upside here for TMO. Sprint is a complete and total train wreck. Sure you’d get to get within 10mil or so of VZ for hte top spot, but the cost and effect would be horrid. Two completely incompatible and separate networks, a ton of debt. ugh. I can’t imagine DT is ever going to want to go for this now. maybe 5 years ago. not today. not even close. it would make more sense for Verizon to gobble up Sprint and you don’t even hear a whisper of interest on that, which tells you how bad Sprint is, considering verizon is willing to pay hundreds of billions for Yahoo today at 2001 valuations.

    • Slybacon

I’m sure they would convert Sprint’s assets to LTE Bands, Just like they did Metro PCS.

    • StevenM

With LTE, the conversion would be far less painful since there is only one standard. The only requirement would be to have a 100% LTE footprint and move everyone to a VoLTE capable device. At that point, the CDMA network could be refarmed to LTE.

    • Phone Guy

One good thing. Sprint has amazing in building penetration in many markets due to low band. T-Mobile would be able to acquire that low band and penetrate buildings.

  • samsung freud

When Softbanks CEO pledges to invest 50 billion in the U.S. it’s the beginning of the end.

  • Haha sounds quite desprite to me. Why didn’t softbank just buy tmobile back when they decided to enter to us market. That would have made sense to me. But they bought that sinking ship and couldn’t get it to turn around fully so they can keep it.

  • Adam Thodey

It would only make sense if T-mobile was in control (like Softbank owning 20% of the company, deutsche telekom 51%, shareholders 19%, employees 10%), and no debt was transferred to TMUS. and then tmobile can convert the current users to the t-mobile platform and dismantle (or sell) anything not compatible with the tmobile network as they phase those out. but if the FCC and justice and FTC want 4 mobile phone companies.. this wouldn’t work unless there was a 4th in the wings.. since we are still not sure what Dish is going to do with their spectrum

  • Paul Garrison

You would do anything to stop the bleeding of money.

  • jtrpop

Because Softbank’s investment into Sprint years ago worked out *so well* for them. . Now they want to try and roll over belly up to T-Mobile to take them in like an abandoned puppy? Only if T-Mobile is controlling the ship because Sprint sure can’t.

  • vinnyjr

If Sprint is willing to give up control to T-Mobile then they must be in serious trouble! Networks dont jive together, CDMA Networks ate just over the hill. Nothing i see is a plus. T-Mobile doesn’t need anyone now. Just 2 years and they will be as strong or stronger than AT&T. Their Network keeps growing, they put their money where it was needed, Big Network.

    • Walt

Do you really think tmobile will pass Att? Theres a reason why Att has 2x the customers than tmobile

      • Acdc1a

Yes, I do. AT&T Wireless plus Cingular.

      • Slybacon

Just three years ago, that was 3x.

    • Drewski

Wrong. All of Sprint will be converted right into T-Mobile-MetroPCS GSM network verses CDMA. So therefore it will make sense.

      • Tony

GSM/CDMA/WCDMA are old technologies, once enough customers have moved to LTE the GSM/CDMA/WCDMA spectrum will be cleared and re-purposed for LTE.

        • eanfoso

Wcdma is not that old, I can see them leaving this technology for some time

        • Tony

LTE is the current future…..I stand slightly corrected, GSM and WCDMA will be around for a while as T-Moible uses it only as a fallback for E911 calls on LTE phones that aren’t VOLTE capable. A lot of WCDMA/GSM spectrum was carved in favor for LTE. LTE is just that much more spectrum efficient.

        • Drewski

Your point??? Are you saying that it’s not a good idea for Sprint to be merged into T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation is what you are telling me?? I believe that this technology will work so swell with Sprint, being merged right into T-Mobile-MetroPCS. It will work. I have lots of faith that this will work out just swell. Always have faith, otherwise it could go sour. I believe that Sprint’s new and advanced LTE will work very swell with T-Mobile-MetroPCS rebranding/ new equipment of Advanced LTE.

        • Drewski

I understand what you mean, but GSM will always be there, regardless of them not mentioning it much in the near future. We have SIM Cards. So therefore, the GSM is never going away.

    • Mike

Actually Sprint has quite a bit of spectrum not in use due to using CMDA. If Sprint is willing to give up control in the merger and let John run the company I see no this as a plus for T-Mobile. At the end of the day the merger can make T-Mobile stronger since all Verizon and ATT has to do is lower pricing to hurt T-Mobile and Sprint.

      • Justin747

No no no no no. I used to work for Sprint. T-Mobile (and everybody else) needs to stay faaaaaaaaaaaar away. There is NO upside to merging/acquiring Sprint.

Sprint is more than just spectrum. The company is a complete mess. Also 3 major carriers will inevitably hurt the pricing war T-Mobile just created. Look at Canada for proof of 3 carriers being an awful idea.

T-Mobile acquiring Sprint is the equivalent of purchasing a condemned house because it has a bunch of rooms. It’s still a GIGANTIC fixer-upper.

  • Walt
  • Richard j

Hold on, wasn’t the whole purpose of the merger for DT to get out of the U.S. market?

    • Tony Chen

dt q4 said their 50% profit is from usa t mobile they wont sell t mobile usa anymore.
t mobile usa is more profitable then europe t mobile.

      • eanfoso

        Then Europe t mobile

No, not all of their European business, just markets like Croatia and the Netherlands. When t mobile is the #1 carrier in Germany and gets backed up by the German government it generates more profit than TMO US. Look at their amortization tables for each region.

    • It’s important to remember that way back when, before the Uncarrier and the failed AT&T merger, T-Mobile was essentially the same as Sprint, maybe worse, so of course DT wanted to unload it. With the spectrum from the AT&T deal failure and John Legere, T-Mobile has become a star, a profitable one at that. Now of course DT wants to keep them.

  • Tony Chen

sprint network is trash its garbage hell no. they are unreliable their downlod speed is crap.
my god i dont even think verizon wants sprint.

    • TechnoRealz

      So true.
But the question in any merger is will the cultures get along to make it work?
Will the SPCS tech team rebel against the TMO tech guys’ culture?

TMO has proved since Legere took over in not only adding subs but also improving the network.

They can excecute – with their people & its culture.

TMO has executed with not as much investment capital as the VZW or ATT.

      Can SPCS assimilate & cooperate?

  • Tony Chen

they are cheap for a reason, you get what you pay for. terrible deal. avoid sprint like a plague.

    • gmo8492

      Sprint like hell…lol

  • Tony Chen

one of the big hospital in ny just dropped sprint for its doctors and nurses basically work phone.
unreliable service caused the hospital to replace sprint phones with verizon phones for its doctors and nurses recently. yea its that bad.

  • Tony Chen

let sprint go backrupt i say its their fault their network sucks.

    • Phone Guy

Their CEO Claude is a douche.

      • eanfoso

How? He’s actually really nice and has a lovely family

        • not so nice

          #ghettocampaign

  • Tony Chen

once speint go bankrupt t mobile can buy their spectrums at a discount ! genius!
    :))

  • decisivemoment

Softbank shouldn’t just be allowed to give up. We need four networks for the sake of competition and choice and customers getting more data for less money, and Sprint’s assets including its enormous amount of high-frequency spectrum ought to be sufficient to make them a better choice than the competition for heavy data users in urban areas. If they can establish a beachhead like that, they can then start to pursue the kind of makeover T-Mobile has performed.

    • Critic4U

They still don’t have VoLTE, and they closed all the US based call centers and sent them to brazil and the philippines, they are bleeding money and I think they are pretty close to bankruptcy if they don’t sell to T-Mobile. At least T-Mobile could integrate their spectrum into its network making it even more stronger and give them the technology needed that they could never figure out for VoLTE service. All T-Mobile and then Sprint now T-Mobile customers win :D

  • TK – Indy

This is simple. Less carriers = Less competition = Higher prices and lower quality. Every consumer should be against this, whatever your current carrier.

    • Slybacon

Then why is Sprint so cheap and such low quality (that I hear)? There are over 100 wireless carriers in the US.

      • TK – Indy

No, there are 4 major carriers currently.

        • Phone Guy

US WIreless, Union Wireless, and the list goes on. All separate carriers, not using anyone else’s airwaves.

        • Brian Maher

Oh boy… this couldn’t be further from the truth. Even most of the “Big 4” partner with each other, and don’t have towers EVERYWHERE. The littler carriers, including the two you mentioned, ABSOLUTELY have partnering deals with one (or more) of the major carriers to use their towers. US Wireless does NOT have their own, distinct cell towers scattered throughout the United States.

      • tvelocity

Sprint is always 4th in speed and quality… and their prices are cut rate but only promotional so they increase after a few months.

  • Critic4U

I personally would be okay with T-Mobile taking over sprint networks, I already have a great plan so I could care less if they monopolize it, as long as I’m getting the best network experience possible.

    • TundraToyota

And prices will rise accordingly, the world doesn’t revolve around you.

      • Critic4U

for others that don’t get locked into a great plan prices will rise, so it’s their own fault if they don’t get it now. otherwise I don’t care as long as it makes my experience better…

        • TundraToyota

Who says they have to lock anybody into anything?

        • Critic4U

meaning getting a good price locked in, as T-Mobile guarantees your rate plan will not change and even John Legere said “I’m guaranteeing those rates for as long as you’re a customer,”

        • Phone Guy

Hey Critic4U. Surprise. Your price will you up. You are correct, that is what John said, and you will get to keep your rate plan just as it is, but a year or two ago, there is a new clause in their plans that says rate plans can go up in price. So you can keep your plan and all of its features, but it may go up in price. Its discussed in detail in all of the other threads. So no, sadly there is no more price guarantee, just that you get to keep the “rate plan” is what he meant.

        • Critic4U

I need facts not rumors, show me the facts :P

        • Brian Maher

Incorrect. Price will NEVER go up as long as you remain a T-Mobile customer. Watch Uncannier 9.0 again.

        • TechnoRealz

Supply the proof or it’s a lie.
Make the assertion >>> back it up.

  • gmo8492

No, mergers often turn out to be a raw deal for consumers and it makes it harder for a market to be competitive. Besides that anything Sprint touches turns into trash.

  • Tim

When will the 600mhz auction end?

    • JLV90

when there is no more spectrum to bid on

  • TechnoRealz

    “Merge”?
How about TMO take over SPCS network & refarm their mHz to TMO’s frequencies.
    Fire all their execs.
    Cost to TMO? $1.

    • eanfoso

If they merged most of it will happen except for the fire all executives and cost to tmo 1$

      • TechnoRealz

        There will be no merge.

It will be TMO eating a buffet for next to free. That’s the only deal on the table that’s palatable IMO.

        • Drewski

We shall see what happens then. This merger is going to happen. You will thank me later. Sprint will merged into T-Mobile-MetroPCS I promise you that much my Brother.

  • ltnstar

Anyone know of any mergers within the last 20 years to benefit customers?
Remember Softbank gained control of sprint with promises of shaking things up. I never saw that when I was a customer. All I noticed was sprints csr become unknowledgeable (call centers were moved overseas)
Hate or like T-Mobile, we all have benefited from what they have done.

    • Mariano Moreira

Sprint acquiring Nextel was a huge diaster of a merger/acquisition for Nextel users.

Softbank acquiring Sprint/Clearwire/(Remainder of Nextel at the time) had customers see the benefit of improved coverage as they closed down Nextel iDen network and rebuilt Backbone along with switching WiMax over to LTE.

Just it wasn’t very forward thinking and they should have went all in with LTE and ditched the CDMA portion while they were already rebuilding entire Network.

(Like remodeling a kitchen but not fixing/replacing a leaky valve/u-trap)*

Yes it looks new, but going forward with future improvements it is going to need to addressed and replaced.

CDMA carriers discontinuing subsidized Phones in plans that were similarly priced to current offerings put them at a huge disadvantage to At&t and T-Mobile’s more Unlocked GSM friendly networks which have a wider support of supported devices.

So legacy CDMA was already holding them back and then they decided to get rid of lower priced phones that have to be Specially Authorised to be on their network… (Yeah, I see how that worked)

    • gmo8492

T-Mobile and MetroPCS merger may be one of the few exceptions. Customers got more benefits and a better network and cheap data rates.

  • Walt

If the merger does happen between sprint and tmobile. I hope they keep Legere as CEO and drop all sprint plans and force people to move to 1 plans. Get rid of that sero plan bs. You’re not under contract so move to another plan if you don’t like it. No more mr nice guy

    • Mariano Moreira

I will wholeheartedly admit to being one of the Off-Contract SERO users.

The price is the only reason I am still on Sprint.
$40 plan SERO-P with Waived $10 Premium Data fee (was always a dumb addition) & $10 Pixel Promotion credit for the next 24 Months so $30 plus surcharges/taxes.

I also have waived discounted international Text & Data, but not Calling minutes.

I was about ready to drop Sprint and move my line along with my Parents lines over to either Verizon or T-Mobile, but Sprint Retentions dropped my bill to $20 a month + extra fees which has me at under $23 a month for Unlimited Data without the music/video restrictions on newer plans.

I would be okay with moving to a T-Mobile plan with HSPA + and HSPA, with the high hopes a Merger would finally kill Sprint’s CDMA network which is wasting Spectrum at this point. (Would definitely better utilized for VoLTE network)

      • Walt

It would be nice if they did merge that they would go to an all LTE network. Shut down 1x, edge, cdma and hspa. Could you image that?

  • JBLmobileG1

I think this would be a mistake. Sure Tmobile would gain the remaining Sprint customers who haven’t already left to T-Mobile… but T-Mobile would also be having to fix a mess of a network. I would rather they invest in what they already have now then to acquire a bleeding company and then have waste money to help improve to make the T-Mobile company better because of what they picked up but didn’t need. Even Softbank who has money couldn’t even fix the broken Sprint network. It’s also CDMA which is a dying breed since most Global carriers use GSM (maybe even all besides Verizon and Sprint in the US?) All in all I think Sprint, or should I say Softbank, knows that their company is a waste and they what to get whatever they can for it. TMO and DT just need to avoid Sprint and keep pressing forward with what they have because taking on the crap will just hold them back and cause more issues.

    • Drewski

Well said. Let’s all stay the heck away from Sprint. Sprint is poisonous.

      • Walt

        ^ Something we agree on

        • Drewski

Yes much agreeable my friend. T-Mobile-MetroPCS/Deutsche Telekom need to remain as is and not allow Softnank/Sprint Corporation to ever be affiliated with T-Mobile-MetroPCS. I would love Dish Network to have a partnership with T-Mobile-MetroPCS,

    • turtle6988

MetroPCS was also CDMA and T-Mobile had no problems combining the network in less than 2 years. You reform the spectrum to T-Mobile’s network and shut down Sprints. Yes it is that easy. I am a T-Mobile field tech and I was a big part of the network migration in my area

  • Tony Chen

t mobile said they are about to earn 10 billion dollars in revenue no point in merging with a debt ridden sprint.

    • TechnoRealz

      Exactly.

      There is no merge.

There is only one way to go for TMO.

Eat SPCS @ pennies on the dollar.
      Take the spectrum.
Fire the management team & all layers down to the bones.

      There is no merge.
Only a decapitation & pillaging of assets by TMO.

      • Drewski

It’s a merger alright. Softbanks is going to sell thr remaining shares to Deutsche Telekom and Deutsche Telekom will them merge Sprint right into T-Mobile-MetroPCS. Why do you say there will be no merger? Make me understand clearly? The Sprint branding will soon be right out of the picture.

        • Locust Gee

A merger implies a marriage of equal partners.
Each bringing something of value to the table & splitting everything 50/50.

You have to be delusional to call TMO + SPCS as anything but TMO acquisition ie purchase/takeover of SPCS assets.

        • Drewski

And you are here correcting me because? –Yawns-
It will benefit each other, because Sprint is helping T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation out with the LTE Plus aka 2500 mhz spectrum, while T-Mobile-MetroPCS will redo it all over again and rebrand it be more advanced than Sprints old tired so called advanced lte tries to be. Next please? Bye.

        • Locust Gee

You sound like a blowhard that mischaracterized what a merger is in business.

ie an idiot who likes to hear himself speak with no professional qualification = u.

      • Drewski

It’s a merger alright. Softbanks is going to sell the remaining shares to Deutsche Telekom and Deutsche Telekom will them merge Sprint right into T-Mobile-MetroPCS. Why do you say there will be no merger? Make me understand clearly? The Sprint branding will soon be right out of the picture.*

        • Tony Chen

you got to eemember sprint has billions in debt. is t mobile going to take care of its debt if they merge.

        • Drewski

Well I guess you are right about that part there. Then again, I did read somewhere that T-Mobile-MetroPCS owner company called Deutsch Telekom would have to be incharge of all of Sprint’s asset’s, due to Softbanks willing to give the remaining shares of Sprint to Deutsche Telekom. I also read somewhere on this post that T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation might end up partnering up with Charter Communications or perhaps Dish Network for that matter.

  • JLV90

I see it much more likely for T-mobile to buy Dish. All the spectrum and none of the headaches of getting everyone to switch to a single network over time.

    • Drewski

Understandable. I would so hate for T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation to have to take all of Sprint’s customers. Perhaps let another company own Sprint and leave us T-Mobile-MetroPCS alone.

    • Walt

True. Dish hoards specturm and would be a good merger candidate

    • Sean Murphy

I agree on buying dish over sprint. Also they need to buy US Cellular and C-Spire. They both have 700mhz spectrum. But combining them with T-Mobile would gain about 6 million customers. Also they would not have to do anything but the phones use their towers till they switch everything over to T-Mobile standards.

  • Drewski

Are you guys serious? I seriously dislove the heck out of Sprint Corporation. They are known for lying, stealing, having massive load of dead spots, Poor customer service, Not understanding, Very pushy people to deal with. I would much rather see T-Mobile-MetroPCS remain as is, verses having to pick up from what Sprint Corporation had left behind. Too bad, so said Softbank, Masayoshi Son and Sprint Corporation, you guys cannot always have everything your way there. Leave us alone, Please? Let’s do a partnership with Dish Network, verses having to deal with Sprint Corporation or Softbanks nonsense ways.

    • Walt

Id rather see sprint merge with tmobile instead of big red or death star :/

      • Drewski

As long as the CEO of Sprint Corporation remains being right out of the picture and only allow T-Mobiles CEO John Legere to take over, is when it will all be great in my book to have forever and ever. I dislove the heck out of Sprint. Sprint is no good and needs to retired asap. :) :)

        • Walt

I agree their company is a mess, their deployment of spectrum is a mess and theyre about to go bankrupt in a few years imo

        • Critic4U

I think the acquisition would go something like this >> Softbank walks into the boardroom at Sprint with Marcelo sitting at the end of the table and says to him “I’m sorry but I got bad news for you” Marcelo says “Why? what happened?” Then John Legere bolts through the door and says “pucker up buttercup you’re my bitch now” and Softbank says to Marcelo “we sold our controlling shares to T-Mobile”

        • Drewski

Well said there my Brother. I believe so too. Marcelo Claure will soon be right out of the freaking picture, Bro. It’s been real Marcelo Claure. John Legere is taking over now. Buh Byed Marcelo Claure. :( :(

:) :) Yays Marcelo Claure is finally right out of the picture nows Brother.

        • ericdabbs

I think there is no doubt that John Legere and the rest of the Tmobile management team would be at the helm of the combined company. Deutsch Telekom wouldn’t allow any part of Sprint managment to take over of the new company.

  • Drewski

It’s most likely going to be Dish Network or Charter Communications, perhaps Brother.

  • turtle6988

I see it going like the T-Mobile/MetroPCS merger. T-Mobile would set a deadline based on the number of customers Sprint has at the time to shut down the Sprint Network. Within 3-6 more the Sprint stores will only be selling phones that work on T-Mobile’s network. A year in the Sprint stores will either closes or be rebranded to T-Mobile as there is no reason to keep the Sprint name. Once the Sprint Network is turned off, T-Mobile will use the spectrum from the Sprint network on they’re own or do spectrum swaps to get the spectrum they want or need.

  • Tony Chen

sprint is billions in debt bad deal.

  • Cam Fas

Dont do it tmobile heack if you need to you need to accelerate the edge and hspa+ shut down to use all spectrum for LTE I would even do that instead of merging with that poorly manged yellow pile of pee.

    • Walt

There hasnt been any talk about hspa being shut down. But i heard edge in 2020 will be shut down

  • Drewski

You were meaning to say, Sprin should quickly sell to T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation. Sprint needs themselves and T-Mobile-MetroPCS support to survive going right out of business and merging themselves right into T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation. Makes sense?

  • Paul

You mean if Sprint wants to be bought by T-Mobile?

    • Critic4U

They wouldn’t have a choice if SoftBank Group CEO Masayoshi Son sells his 80% of controlling stock to T-Mobile.

      • Paul

With all the growth they’ve had, I’m pretty sure Magenta could think twice if that did happen. And Softbank won’t remove their shares since the stock has gone up for the past 3 years.

What I was implying was that Sprint is the name that would need to go, and T-Mobile would be the one to absorb the Sprinter customers.

BUT we don’t know what will happen. Grab some popcorn and let’s watch the show.

        • Drewski

Sorry, but Softbank is willing to sell all over Sprints share right on over to Deutsche Telekom and Deutsche Telekom merging Sprint right into T-Mobile US.

  • Tony Chen

dt is not selling t mobile ever.

  • Drewski

Lies. That won’t happen. AT&T won’t ever touch T-Mobile-MetroPCS. It’s not allowed. Where did you hear this from??

  • Drewski

Sorry, but Deutsch Telekom is not selling T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation ever. AT&T can quit trying to buy T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation.

  • Drewski

You were meaning to say, Sprint should quickly sell to T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation. Sprint needs themselves and T-Mobile-MetroPCS help support each other to survive going right out of business and merging themselves right into T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation branding name. Makes sense?*

  • Justin747

No “WE” as consumers don’t get anything. This deal would be anti-consumer and you shouldn’t be excited about it at all.

There is literally ZERO reason for this deal to ever happen.

  • marcelo claure

    “Sprint is better than T-mobile”

    -No one ever

    • Drewski

Dream on. If you say so. That’s why Sprint’s owner Softbank is begging T-Mobile-MetroPCS owner company Deutsche Telekom to have ownership over T-Mobile-MetroPCS now, due to Softbank no longer having the funds to have full ownership over Sprint anymore?? Softbank wants to sell all of Sprints shares on over to Deutsche Telekom. Explain that part there Buddy??

      • Walt

Dude its me walt. You didnt get the joke when i ended it with ” said no one ever” lol

        • Drewski

Oh whoops. I’m sooo dumb thank for making me realize that saying there. lol I can be a little dumb sometimes. Sorry, my bad Brother. lol lol Thanks Bro.

        • Walt

Yes, You are dumb. Thanks for admitting it

        • Drewski

shut up dude and stop stalking me. leave me alone. leave alone stalker.

        • Drewski

Why won’t you leave me alone????? Get a life. You are pissing me off. Now be gone.

        • Drewski

          admitting to what? lol

    • #Note5IsBoss #SamsungKnights

Sprint will always be T-mobile’s bitch.

      • squiddy20

Just as you’ll always be Samsung’s.

        • Melissa Cardenas

          +1 squiddy 20 ,,exactly haha

  • marvin bolden

Hell no i will not be under t-trash …..CDMA works very well i know i can be in rual areas of arkansas WHEN i get down to my very last notch and sometimes no signal it will still hold that call ….cant do that with GSM

    • Walt

How’s talking and surfin the web on Sprint treatin ya? Sucks not to have Volte huh

      • marvin bolden

I dont need all that just let me call out when im in trouble thats all i need

        • Drewski

Why are you here? You do know that This is a T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation page that you are hanging out in right now Bro, Right? Are you jealous at the fact that T-Mobile-MetroPCS has way of a better network than tired, threw and delayed Sprint Corporation?? At least for emergency purposes either way you are able to have internet access on your phone while on a phone call. What if the phone call drops without the internet being on, what are you do about it then? That’s why Sprints owner Softbanks is so pushy about selling all of Sprints 80% right on over to T-Mobile-MetroPCS own Deutsch Telekom so bad, due to Softbanks being dead broke/can no longer deal with a company like Sprint? Boy go somewhere. You and I both know that T-Mobile-MetroPCS has way more of a upper hand than Sprint. That’s why T-Mobile-MetroPCS has way more reliability than Sprint, Right?

        • Melissa Cardenas

Ok tmobile user here but cmon lets not talk about reliability . And pretend tmobile is great in rural areas , funny how u tell him if u cant call u can still use internet on your phone. Um last time i was going to vegas on the way there i had Many spots tmobile had absolutely no service not even edge so calls and internet data wasnt working at all . Sure once i got to vegas tmobiles works great .So i couldnt use internet or calls Even send a text message on the way to vegas . Same thing going to san fransisco… Its an 8 hour drive from LA . And as of 2017 many spots tmobile still has no service at all driving there . Now Arizona and new mexico o gawd its terrible. Driving tru yuma. And agua fria new mx… Funny really funny how my step father with sprint had at least 1x cdma on sprint on ALL those places and was AT Least able to call while i had no service at all on tmobile on my iphone 7 plus. I love tmobile but lets not kid ourselves .. Rural coverage is still PRETTY bad even sprints works better. At least to call in the middle of nowhere in case of an emergency were tmobile doesnt work at all sprint at least has a reliable 1x cdma signal that everyone says is garbage and outdated technology haha . tmobiles only advantage is that in the city it works great even better than sprint, travel outside it sucks thats when sprint works better.

        • Drewski

Kidding whom?? No one. I live in a rural area without any disconnection problems whatsoever. I also was able to make a phone call whether if the internet was still going or not. It all depends on your location and area there.

        • marvin bolden

Agreed …and i just told them that lol

        • Drewski

agreed on what? That is a blantant lie. T-Mobile-MetroPCS is reliable everywhere. Face facts.

        • marvin bolden

Boy ???? lol ok…. U wanna talk reliability in 2016 who had the most network outages tmobile one i can recall just in sept here in the memphis, tn region evebody lost 4g and txt msgs evebody in TN ARK MISS LA MO ALA AND GA….. so ” BOY ” dont tell me about no reliability…..

        • Drewski

Um goodbye. I’m for T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation and now have a nice day now. I’m right and you are wrong. Your answer is not accepted by me here. I didnt ask for your own poor fact. Buh bye.

        • Drewski

And that’s a lie. Cricket wireless, at&t and sprint had the most outages. So your answer was a lie. bye. i believe T-Mobile-MetroPCS is still advanced and way Better than any other carrier in the usa. have a nice day. Bye.

    • #Note5IsBoss #SamsungKnights

Sprint is GARBAGE has been years now they want to kiss Tmobile in the nuts just to save that ass.

As long as it’s the third wireless carrier T-mobile buying Sprint and John Legere is running the show then that will be fine.

We can take Sprints useless CDMA old bullshit technology and gobble up them towers toward 5g coverage in 2018.

Tmobile and MetroPCS are doing great they definitely don’t need crappy ass Sprint to exist but what the hell I support Trump so this deal can happen.

      • squiddy20

And with all the crap you just spewed, you have proven your total and utter ignorance in all that you talked about. You know nothing.
It’s actually hilarious to me that you think “5G” is coming in 2018. The consortium that finalizes exactly what is/is not 4G and 5G haven’t even finished their work on the new standard, and won’t be done for several more months at the earliest.

        • Tony Chen

t mobile is testign 5 in austin texas and will have 5g deplayed in 2018.

        • squiddy20

Please, enlighten me as to how they are testing 5G when, as I said above, the consortium that determines what exactly is/is not 5G hasn’t even finished the new spec. That’s like saying you’re playing a certain game, when you don’t even know the rules.
          http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/02/10/what-is-5g-the-laymans-guide/

        • SirStephenH

They’re testing pre-5G tech to prepare themselves for the real thing just like all the other major carriers.

      • marvin bolden

I dont think u know what u talkin bout

        • Drewski

Sorry he knows what he is talking about. Face facts. :)

    • SirStephenH

LOL CDMA is and always has been trash. I bet you don’t even understand that CDMA has nothing to do with LTE and beyond, just tired old 2g and 3g.

      • marvin bolden

        Duhhh i know that

        • Drewski

If you know that, then why waste your time trashing on T-Mobile-MetroPCS then? Hater bye.

  • Guest

I think that is a brilliant move if Sprint and T-Mobile merge. Due to Soft bank CEO willing to invested, I can see a really strong 5g network with Sprint abandoning their CMDA model.

    • Guest

      Correction CDMA. Damn smart phone

  • Tony Chen

softbank is trying to off load sprints billions in debt to t mobile if they merge as you are were aware sprint is up in billions in debt from borrowing money for years. softbank wants to off load the billions debt to t mobile if they merge.

  • Drewski

Bye Bye Bye. Run run run run and why are you still talking to me in the first place? No one asked for your own true fact. I seriousw did not need your help. True fact is this: T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation has more stability verses Sprint. Sprint has way more dead spots and more areas with no services than T-Mobile-MetroPCS. Sorry, but T-Mobile-MetroPCS will forever have the power over Sprint. Sprint is run down, messed up, tiring, out of place, disorganized, Less strong signal and less reliability. With that said, I beg to believe you at all cost. Your fact is actually a fiction. I hate fiction. Speak real truth verses fiction. It is not my fault that your favorite Carrier Sprint is not bringing in much customers. That too explains why Sprints 4GLTE icon is always dropping from LTE to 3G or R(roaming), Right? Again why are you here trying to correct me? T-Mobile-MetroPCS has the ability to keep a solid LTE Signal throughout all parts of the USA. Are you finish bugging me out with your lies yet or what?

  • Drewski

Yawns Bye. I don’t care what you believe T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation is way Better than your favorite carrier Sprint Corporation. You still have not convinced me with a true fact. Your facts are fiction. Why are you eben bothering me right now? Don’t you have a life? Go bug someone else with your false stories. This is a T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation page and not a Sprint page. Sprint smells bad everywhere. Face it and get out of my face already. Bye.

    • Omar Cardenas

Dude your making yourself look bad u freaking said so yourself in your other comment it all depends on your location and area . Did you forget you wrote that? All she said was tmobile wasnt good in her area which there is nothing wrong with that tmobile is not perfect anywere. And you snapped at her. I have verizon for work and tmobile for personal phone. And like she said no carrier is perfect . They all have their ups and downs. You also have not convinced me with a true fact i been reading all your comments. Tmobile reliable all over the Us? Umm suure i love tmobile too . But cmon verizon works better we all know that. Only reason i have verizon is because my work pays for it i dont. Being a truck driver i do not recommend tmobile at all. You want reliable in every state yes i drove all over the US and really verizon is the way to go. Like she said tmobile works awesome in a big city but not if you drive around all over the US like me.

      • Drewski

Yawns at your comment. Sorry to say this, but I know what I wrote. I believe for a proven fact that T-Mobile-MetroPCS nation had the best network throughout USA. T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation is way Better than any other carrier that I’ve used within most areas throughout the whole USA country. Verizon, Sprint Corporation and AT&T all gave me way too many Dead zones in certain areas that I would hang out in. Not once has T-Mobile-MetroPCS ever let me down as far as Reliability is concerned. I know sooo many other places I would hang out in throughout USA that T-Mobile-MetroPCS would not make me go into roaming, while VERIZON, AT&T/Sprint all turned right into roaming. T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation has Better Call Quality, Better Video Calling Capabilities, Better Advanced Messaging, Enhanced Voice Services, Better Voice over LTE Services than any other carrier would have. T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation Wifi Calling feature also works out Way Better Than any other carriers wifi calling feature from what I have been noticing. Strongest Data Signal, Reliability everywhere I went. All the other carriers are not stable either, since you want to talk about T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation not being so stable. So who are you? What point did you make? You did not make any point at all. I actually believe your story is fiction verses factual. You are on a T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation page just know that part. Speak however you feel, but your story is fiction. Show me some proof that Sprint or Verizon is Better. Have a nice day now Buddy. Thanks for wasting time. Buh bye.

        • Walt

Dude, Common everyone knows verizon and even Att have better overall coverage than Tmobile lol. You have to at least admit that

        • Drewski

Gooodbye Walt. You must be attacking me too. This is T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation page. We are not buddies. You acted like you are my Buddy and now you want to attack me too? Just leave me alone. Obviously you purposely acted like you understood me and had my back. Obviously not. So just go. Goodbye.

        • Walt

“Bro” i disagreed with one thing you said (that verizon and att has better coverage than Tmobile) and you think i hate you? You have issues man, you’re on here posting every minute of the day like its your job (i still think youre getting paid for the bs you talk on here) get lost youre not open minded you only think tmobile is the best even when facts are presented to you. Dude you’re more of a troll on this site than I am lol

        • Drewski

T-Mobile-MetroPCS will forever be way Better than Verizon Wireless and AT&T. Face facts. I’m always right and you are always wrong. Go sit down and have a cup of urine. Chow Chow.

        • Walt

Pretty sure you would drink urine and not eat it. You fix that chipped tooth yet lol

        • Drewski

You’re still wasting your time. Verizon smells bad Buddy. T-Mobile-MetroPCS is Better. You’re still minding my business and my tooth is perfectly fine Bud. Drink more dog urine or cat urine. I bet it taste delicious. lol Have several seats sir.

        • Drewski

And please just stop pretending to act like you are my friend and attacking me. Obviously you have issues with Understanding what I’m saying and getting acrosd whenever it comes down to reliability for our own experiences with T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation Network. Seriously just leave me alone. Stop harassing me. I don’t ever want to talk to your sorry behind anymore. Now leave. Bye. You are freaking me out way too much with your pretending to be cool with me crap. And please stop with your verizon/at&t nonsense. I was strictly for T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation and not have soggy conversations about Verizon or at&t.

        • Drewski

Goodbye Walt. We are no longer friends. Nice knowing you. Verizon/AT&T are trashy and less reliable to me. Let’s leave it at okay Buddy. You are starting to scare me now. I don’t know if you are joking or not.

        • Drewski

T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation has the best network throughout USA** whoops mistypo there. lol

      • Drewski

You’re here and minding my business? I’ll snap at whomever. She snapped at me first. I feel really sleepy right now. Yawns again. Bye next person please???

  • marvin bolden

And in most real areas of america we do get 3g roaming from the alltel days

    • Drewski

Bye bye and why are you wasting your time talking to me? You are more of an idiot to waste your time with me. Why waste your breath? I’m right and you are wrong Buddy. See you never.

  • marvin bolden

    Lol kmsl

    • Drewski

      Bye Bye. You smell bad.

      • thepanttherlady

        How old are you, 5?

        • Drewski

Hmmmm I don’t know how old I am. Thank you for wasting my time with that question. Next question Please Missy? Waste of time I bet you much. lol lol Have a nice Day now sweetie. Bye.

  • Drewski

I love T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation to the fullest. They are the most reliable carrier/network alive in the USA. You guys make me smile each and every single day here. Verizon/Sprint/AT&T could never stand a chance.

    • Walt

Dude you’re more of a troll on this site than I am lol

      • Drewski

Thank you have a nice Day. T-Mobile-MetroPCS is phenomenal and outstandingly Fantastic. They actually have your back and everything.

        • Walt

Youre not opened minded to facts that verizon and att have a better coverage network than Tmobile. Meaning they cover more people in more places, Thats all im saying. But its your way or the highway. if one person disagrees with you theyre immediately wrong.Edited by mod..let’s keep politics out of the discussion, please

        • Drewski

You’re wrong Buddy. Bye.I dont care about your sob story. Your answer is invalid. You are the dishonest person and I am not. T-Mobile-MetroPCS Nation is Better. You commented towards my way dude. So therefore I’m correcting you. Go back to Verizon or AT&T since all you’re doing is calling T-Mobile-MetroPCS all around garabage and you purposely siding with Verizon/AT&T over our company and Family. Have a nice life you dishonest individual.

    • Walt

The Dude’s a fraud. Read the bottom of his post

      http://imgur.com/a/coZ0E

      • Drewski

Ahaha you actually believed me?? You’re a fool. I did that to screw around with Cricket Wireless head.

        • Walt

Ok dude. You praise cricket and tmobile both. Who’s side are you really on?

        • Drewski

          T-Mobile-MetroPCS all the way.

  • Drewski

Thank you and now drink some more urine to help clean out your system. T-Mobile-MetroPCS is Better. Better every day and way Better than Verizon buttom line. Why waste your time still? You must have no life to start with.

    • Walt

Even John Legere himself said that verizon had a beautiful network and how they were able to cover those dustbowl states was amazing. You need any more facts?

  • Drewski

Nobody knocked me out and stop harassing me and starting crap. leave me alone and continue on with your cat urine or elephant urine. i don’t care what you say. just seriously leave me alone. i never once approached your sorry behind. go drink rotten milk for all I care and stop making up bogus lies that are not true. you are mad because i told your sorry smelly behind about t-mobile-metropcs being the better winner over verizon wireless and at&t. face you dude you are really making my skin crawl filled with bugs and roaches. blow your nose somewhere else.

  • Drewski

How would you know if my tooth go chipped??? my tooth is not broken in pieces. Again go somewhere and stop lying. Even if my tooth was chipped it would not have made much of a difference. Since you so claim to know who I am. Try messaging me in real life on Facebook or Twitter and watch me bark all over your behind. You are a fony and a fake. You can’t show your face, because you smell bad. I’m tired of your mouth. Now for the last time seriously go somewhere and get lost. You have no life and you feel the need to butt into my conversation for what? No reason whatsoever and no reason to lie about Verizon being better, knowing they are not.

  • Drewski

If I believe that T-Mobile-MetroPCS is way Better than Verizon Wireless, let it freaking be that point. You invited your sorry behind and tried correcting me. You did not see me going to one of your comment and telling you on what you should or should not love. It was your whack business for doing that one on me. Go get somemore bugs crawl on you there.

    • Walt
      • Drewski

You’re an idiot for believing that I’m a fraud. I did that to screw with Cricket Wireless head. More free offers. lol Do you get it now??

  • Botiemaster

Yeah no let’s make Sprint spend that money like Tmo had to to compete so we can have an even awesomer carrier competition for customers. We all could be paying half of what we do now for our phone service…

  • Drewski

Liar goodbye dude. John Legere believes and knows that T-Mobile-MetroPCS out shines Verizon. Keep running your mouth.

  • Walt
  • vrm

That would be a great idea if DT wanted to kill t-mobile ! Take a smooth running machine like t-mobile and add to it the skunk works called sprint; it will get jammed pretty good.

With poor network complementing, spectrum not overlapping, devices running on different tech, network running on different tech- I am not sure how the hell a merger is supposed to take place. It would be a nightmare to pull it through and all the while subscribers will be leaving esp if the big two smell blood and start discounting like hell- lower ARPUs are OK as long as overall revenue grows; after all, t-mobile grew using exactly that mantra.
