So you are liking the looks of the myTouch 4G slide and are eagerly awaiting its eventual release? If that’s you, then listen up. T-Mobile has posted the myTouch 4G Slide page with a nice little ‘notify me’ section. It also looks like this phone will go for (as low as) $199.99 (with a 2 year agreement and qualifying rate plan) sometime in July. Go to the dedicated page to learn all the little … [read full article]
It was bound to happen sooner or later, right? Everyone’s favorite addition to the myTouch family has finally made a live appearance on video, showing off benchmark scores. Now, I can’t make out the exact score, but I think the Quadrant score is somewhere around 1903. Either way, that’s faster than a stock Nexus One on 2.2+. In fact, the only higher scores that I have seen come from an overclocked G2, or really … [read full article]
UPDATE: The video has been turned right-side up! Apparently the myTouch 4G ROM was leaked earlier this morning, and like many other leaked ROMs it included a few goodies. The folks over at AndroidCentral went through the ROM and found a 50 second promo video for the myTouch 4G. The video briefly showcases some of the features, such as the Genius button, HD video recording, Video Chat, and ScreenShare. Sadly, the video is sideways as its designed … [read full article]
So I’ve been working on getting the exact name of the “new” myTouch ever since the official announcement came out calling it the “new” myTouch. We can happily, or unhappily confirm that the device appears to be named the “myTouch 4G” if our sources are accurate. We’re not calling this one 100% as until we have something in writing that says so but from what we’ve heard from those individuals who have used the phone, … [read full article]
Well isn’t this pretty? The myTouch family all together in one area, with a list of their different attributes and benefits. Cute. Either way, as wireless carriers tend to do, T-Mobile has developed a nice little comparison chart to, well, compare the different myTouch phones. As expected, the new myTouch (myTouch Hd / Emerald) is the king of them all, with all the fancy new features. The myTouch Slide, though, still doesn’t look that bad. … [read full article]
In case you missed it, the new upcoming myTouch made a surprise appearance at CTIA and then we even saw others go hands on with the hardware prototype. But that’s not the only thing T-Mobile revealed at Mobile Focus 2010. Apparently Magenta released a fact sheet for the upcoming T-Mobile myTouch HD. Although most of the content on the fact sheet is already known, we noticed one specific item on the sheet that caught … [read full article]
After making an appearance yesterday at CTIA Fall 2010, the folks over at Engadget caught sight of the new myTouch and went hands on with this bad boy. Sadly, the handset was a hardware prototype so they weren’t able to play around with the device, but they did manage to get a plethora of pics, including some comparisons with its predecessor, the myTouch 3G Slide. As for first impressions of the hardware, Engadget claims the device feels … [read full article]
Now, I can’t say that this is a live appearance because sadly it’s not, but it’s a video appearance nonetheless. Kent German of Cnet was able to grab some video of a (turned off) New T-Mobile MyTouch (MyTouch HD in these parts). This video will give you a great look at the hardware and give you a feel for the size of this phone. I, for one, am glad to find out that … [read full article]
Well the myTouch HD news keeps on ticking tonight but this time we’re going with something official, very official. As of this moment T-Mobile officially introduces the “new myTouch” to the T-Mobile lineup. Let’s cut to the chase and say we’re still missing lots of details so let’s just get that out of the way. The actual name of the T-Mobile’s first Android device with a Front Facing Camera remains a mystery, as does price and … [read full article]
