Apple starts selling iPhone 6 and 6 Plus with wider LTE support

Today, Apple started selling iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models unlocked and contract free with support for 20 national and international LTE bands. Just like the T-Mobile model, pricing starts at $649. Just a few months ago, Apple started selling the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. They were firsts for T-Mobile fans for a couple of reasons: They supported Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE. What’s more, Apple has been selling the T-Mobile version of the iPhone unlocked … [read full article]

What was the best phone launched on T-Mobile this year? [Poll]

We’re approaching the end of the year, and as new product releases and plan changes slow down, it’s about time we started reflecting on 2014. I’ll be publishing some end of year thoughts at a later date. Either in several posts or one big mammoth all-encompassing article, I haven’t decided yet. As part of the process this year, I wanted to ask your thoughts on several aspects. First up: Phones. We all love them, love to hate … [read full article]

Reminder: iOS 8.1 arriving for iPhone and iPad later today (Update: Here!)

UPDATE: iOS 8.1 has rolled out. Let us know how you get on installing it, and if you have any issues. Also, if you try Apple Pay. I’d love to hear how well it works, before it rolls out on my side of the pond.  If you have an iPhone or iPad on T-Mobile’s network, remember that a pretty major “dot” update is coming your way today. iOS 8.1 is expected to land within a few hours. Perhaps … [read full article]

John Legere talks merger rumors, #bendgate and more in entertaining GeekWire interview [video]

There are few more entertaining CEOs than John Legere. Since bursting on to the scene as the head of T-Mobile a couple of years back, his antics on Twitter and colorful language on stage has been a huge part of what makes T-Mo the attractive cool-kid on the carrier block. In an interview with GeekWire this week he was quizzed on a number of topics, and wasn’t shy in responding. Especially when it came to talk on the rumored … [read full article]

iPhone 6 Plus Review – Apple’s outstanding entry to the “phablet” market

I use “phablet” in quotation marks for one reason: While a year or two back, the term could be used for a specific area of the smartphone market, in 2014 that’s not so easy to do. Where there was once a line of size distinction, it’s now blurred. Device screen sizes range from 4.5-inches to 5.7-inches, and many of today’s flagships devices are those with displays above the 5-inch mark. But in Apple’s case, there are two … [read full article]

Apple releases iOS 8, go download!

It seems an age since Apple unveiled its next iteration of the iPhone and iPad’s operating system. Unlike last year’s update, there’s no major design overhaul. Instead, Apple’s added some great features, and refined others. And today, iOS 8 has finally arrived. If you have an iPad or iPhone on T-Mobile, you’ll be able to upgrade to iOS 8 now (providing Apple’s servers can handle the load). Some of the biggest surprises in iOS 8 include extensibility … [read full article]

T-Mobile iPhone 6 pricing announced, both models from $0 down

T-Mobile today finally announced the pricing for its iPhone 6. It’ll stock both models of the new Apple smartphone, and will sell them both from $0 down. T-Mo, in its typical Uncarrier mentality, has made pricing really simple. The down payment is based on the storage capacity and not screen size. So, your 16GB iPhone 6 will be the same down payment as 16GB iPhone 6 plus. Of course, your monthly payments will be a little … [read full article]

Up to $50 off all T-Mobile iPhones from tomorrow

T-Mobile sent out notices to staff today informing them that iPhone pricing is set to change. From tomorrow, Aug 27, iPhone device only pricing will drop by up to $50. Included in the price drop are all models of the current iPhone range plus any older models stores might still have in stock. So far, we’re yet to see any specific pricing on individual models and devices, but the “up to $50” in the memo would suggest that … [read full article]
