T-Mo Wideband LTE hits Las Vegas

Today, July 16 is a great day for Las Vegas dwelling T-Mobile customers. Today is the day T-Mo officially switches on Wideband LTE in Vegas, making it only one of two markets in the Southwest region to have the carrier’s fastest networks speeds. What’s Wideband LTE: T-Mobile defines Wideband LTE as LTE with at least 15+15 MHz of spectrum, which has a big impact on overall performance. … [read full article]

T-Mo, AT&T to swap spectrum in a number of markets

Expanding coverage and upgrading networks is often a struggle for carriers, especially the smaller ones. In many cases, the hold up isn’t necessarily the lack of towers/masts, but rather a case of not having enough spectrum licenses to to cover all the areas they want.  To solve that, carriers like T-Mobile have to make deals with other spectrum owners to try and get … [read full article]

One reader got in touch from Taft, California where … [read full article]

T-Mo LTE now covers 230 million POPs

In a blog post earlier this month, T-Mobile’s Chief Technology Officer, Neville Ray outlined plans for the company’s LTE network. Turns out, that milestone was hit last Friday. And – of course – Legere … [read full article]

RootMetrics: T-Mobile network best in Kansas City, fastest in Boston

There was once a time in T-Mobile’s recent history when John Legere would lambast results from RootMetrics’ network survey reports. But I have a feeling that might change soon. The company’s most recent results from some of the major metro areas are painting T-Mo in a very good light. Two separate, recently published reports suggest that T-Mobile has one of the best networks … [read full article]
