Looks like the Galaxy Note 9 isn’t the only Samsung phone getting an update from T-Mobile this weekend.

T-Mobile is now pushing updates to its Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 edge. The Galaxy S8 Active is receiving an update to version G892USQS4BSB2, which weighs in at 140MB. It includes the February 1, 2019 Android security patches along with other bug fixes and system improvements.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are both receiving the February 2019 Android security patches, too, as well as bug fixes and system improvements. Galaxy S7 owners should be on the lookout for a 73.06MB update to version G930TUVS9CSB2 while Galaxy S7 edge users are getting a 72.48MB update to version G935TUVS9CSB2.

These updates are rolling out over the air, so you can either wait for the update to come to you or check for your phone’s update manually. To check for an update, launch the Settings app and select “Software update” followed by “Download updates manually”.

Thanks, Sam!

Three days into march and my S7 has nothing new to install. Still on the December update.

I’ve been trying for 2-3 days, but I got it to work this morning. Wondering if it had anything to do with switching to wifi.

    … Thanks for the warning!..

Why do they even bother? Instead of my phone being 3 months behind on security patches, it’s only 2, what joy. These phones are probably end of life now, so won’t get any more updates.
Here’s an Uncarrier idea: Security updates on time every month! You know, because you care about your customers and their devices not getting hacked.

Well, if it helps you sleep any better, these aren’t so OTHER people can’t hack your device. Most likely, it’s to keep YOU from rooting or otherwise de-crapifying your phone by removing all bloatware.

I keep an S8+ for my Business phone and using it with a Google FI data SIM for Hot spot when Traveling Intl.

But yeah but last security update was 5+ months Nov. 1st. Seems like all of the S8 security patches have rolled out after 3-6 months even when it was the newest flagship.

Hm?, T-Mobile S8 Active on US Mobile has February 2019 security update?

Still no update for my SGS8❗

Has anyone with the SGS8 Receive the update⁉️
