T-Mobile offering free calls, texts, and data to customers affected by California wildfires

Fires are currently raging across California, causing many to evacuate their homes. T-Mobile today said that it’s monitoring the situation closely and working to help those affected by the fires stay connected.

Starting today, November 9, T-Mobile is offering free calls, texts, and data to customers affected by the California fires who are not already on an unlimited plan. This also applies to prepaid customers, though those on Pay As You Go and postpaid plans that don’t include data will only receive free talk and text. For Metro by T-Mobile customers, T-Mo is not suspending accounts for non-payment starting November 10.

The ZIP codes included in T-Mobile’s free calls/text/data offer are:

  • Paradise/Oroville: 95914, 95916, 95917, 95973, 95928, 95926, 95930, 95938, 95941, 95942, 95948, 95954, 95965, 95966, 96968, 95969, 95974, 95987
  • Ventura: 3007, 93005, 93009, 93006, 93004, 93003
  • Simi Valley: 93062, 93063, 93064, 93065, 93094, 93099
  • Malibu: 90263, 90264, 90265
  • Thousand Oaks: 91319, 91320, 91358, 91359, 91360, 91361, 91362, 91377, 93012
  • Calabasas: 91302, 91372
  • Oak Park: 91377
  • Westlake Village: 91361, 91362
  • Agoura Hills: 91301, 91376

T-Mobile also says that it’s sending chargers, loaner phones with service, and other supplies like water and masks to affected areas. The company is monitoring damage to its network and says that there’s minimal damage so far.
