Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leaks continue as spec details surface

Now we know what the Galaxy Note 8 will probably look like when it’s unveiled on August 23rd, but what kind of specs will it include? That question can now be answered, too.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have a 6.3-inch 2960×1440 Super AMOLED display, says VentureBeat, along with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio that’ll give it a tall display. The Note 8 is also expected to include an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for all of your selfie needs.

The back of the Note 8 is said to be home to two 12-megapixel cameras, both of which offer optical image stabilization. One is a wide angle lens with an f/1.7 aperture, while the other is a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and an f/2.4 aperture. To the right of those cameras is a fingerprint reader.

The Note 8’s body reportedly measures 162.5mm x 74.6mm x 8.5mm. Inside that body lives a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM (up from 4GB in the Galaxy S8), 64GB of storage, and a microSD slot. Rounding things out is a 3300mAh battery, USB-C port, and wireless charging.

While still unofficial, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see these specs appear in the Galaxy Note 8. Samsung’s Galaxy Note phones are typically premium devices with very high-end specs, and it sounds like the Note 8 will be no different. Now we just have to wait a few weeks to officially meet the Galaxy Note 8 and get the thing in our hands.
