iPhone 7 launching at MetroPCS, but initial availability is limited

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are coming to MetroPCS.

T-Mobile has confirmed to me that Apple’s new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are launching at MetroPCS. However, availability is limited at first, with “select” stores in San Francisco getting the iPhone 7 Plus today. Nationwide availability of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is “coming soon.”

Both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are listed on MetroPCS’s website, though you can’t actually buy the phones online. Pricing for the 32GB iPhone 7 in Black is set at $649, while the 128GB Jet Black model is $749. If phablets are more your style, the 32GB iPhone 7 Plus Black is $769, while the 128GB iPhone 7 Plus Black is $869.

The iPhone line is fairly new to MetroPCS, with the operator kicking off iPhone sales earlier this year. So while the iPhone 7 is launching at MetroPCS a bit later than it was available on T-Mobile, it’s good to see Apple’s new iPhone begin its rollout at Metro one week after its T-Mobile release, giving MetroPCS customers easy access to the new hardware. Here’s to hoping that the nationwide rollout is indeed close.
