Newest T-Mobile Accessory Sheet Hints At New Devices, HTC Ville And Huawei Prism Included

Finally…a leak that hints, tips or tells us something about new handsets coming to T-Mobile. The good news is that this sheet verifies the HTC Ville rumor, confirms the Samsung T769 as Galaxy S Blaze 4G and introduces us to the Huawei Prism. Coincidentally, it was just last week that word came down T-Mobile had registered new domains with the “Prism” name attached and voilà, now we’ve got a manufacturer in Huawei. The Samsung T769 came on our radar on February 2nd as the User Agent String made a cameo appearance online and is now confirmed as the Galaxy S Blaze 4G. As for the HTC Ville, we already had good word it was coming to T-Mobile, but this sheet marks the first “official” confirmation from Magenta directly.

Unfortunately this sheet provides little in terms of real intel about any of these three devices and the dates associated with the respective handsets are for accessories. Our tipster tells us these dates are for warehouse arrivals for these accessories with stores receiving inventory around a week later. As we’ve seen in the past, accessories can arrive and often do weeks before a handset launches.

If you want to see more on the HTC Ville, you can check out these pics or this video.

i’m pretty excited for the ville. april is such a long wait though, by then, something better will be in the works, and I can continue to use my blackberry lol

At first i was disappointed that the specs indicated it’s just a rehash of the amaze + ICS, but then i saw reviews for the snapdragon S4 and realized it’ll be whooping ass when it comes out!

lets hope battery life doesn’t suck and the phone doesn’t have all those intermittent problem the amaze has..

still may hold out and wait for the tegra 3 edge or w/e the name will be though..

    • sino8r

People always make that mistake. They did it with the G2 (underclocked and a monster GPU at the time) and several others when us nerds knew better ;) Always check the specs… especially the GPU and RAM. You can always play the waiting game and get the 4th generation dual core instead of the 3rd like the Ville has or the next tegra etc. If you aren’t looking for a qwerty model then go for the Ville. It’s very nice and you’ll enjoy it, I’m sure!

      • Anonymous

yea haha. I actually bought an amaze, but the interface was so laggy, and the battery life was pretty poor even after all the updates. I ended up returning it and now i’m just waiting. Coming from a bb, i thought the transition to a full touchscreen would be a pain, but it’s not bad for the most part. I end up using swype or w/e that program is to type faster. I just hope the ville is as smooth as iOS or windows phones, their interfaces are as smooth as silk.

        • guest

yeah, htc sense can be laggy. I usually just remove it and go with basic Android. Much smoother imo. Good luck with everything!

    • guest

also, if you do bit more research… you’ll see that this model (s4) has a 30% (or more) less power consumption. wise up!

  • http://twitter.com/Mrt1connect Mrt1connect

What the hell is the t769??

    • josue cifuentes

      GALAXY NEXUS!!!! i wish

    • Jason

It says right next to the T769 that it’s a Samsung Blaze 4G. And again right below it. T769 = blaze 4G

    • Leon!

In my opinion i think its the Blaze 4g but i might b wrong and i also think the picture says it
(t769) will b released on february 29 sooo we gotta wait!!

  • guest

Wait a sec… so all those domain names and stuff are wasted on a Huawei device, lol?! Are those basic-mid range devices? Seems like a dumb move…

    • http://twitter.com/Mrt1connect Mrt1connect

I dont think they’ll waste a domain name on a crappy phone……it has to be something special or groundbreaking like the g1 or probably a all vanilla  g3 rockin ics.

      • guest

I hope so! From what I’ve seen though, they make lower to mid-range Android devices. Maybe they are making a break from that though?

        • http://twitter.com/Mrt1connect Mrt1connect

They’ve already started. I would consider the gs2 and the amaze 4g extreme high end phones.

        • guest

huh? You’re meantioning a Sammy & HTC. I was saying Huawei makes lower end phones. Huawei is phone manufacturer. see what I’m saying now? ;)

    • Yossarian

I think there is a good chance that it could be the P1 or P1S. You know, the ones with a qHD Super AMOLED screen, dual-core OMAP CPU, Ice Cream Sandwich, and NFC. At least I really, really hope it is.

      • guest

wasn’t aware they made high-end models… Hmmm! well, that’s good to know!

        • Anonymous

Also considering the accessories that are coming out for it… low end and mid-range phones usually don’t get charging docks

  • Turtle6988

If you look at column 3 it list the t769 is the Samsung Blaze 4G

    • guest

      Makes sense… thanks!

  • Cantsay

t769 has blaze 4g right next eachother

  • Chatter

Nice job David! Thank your Ninjas.

    • guest

      Same here. Thanks Davey ;)

  • Anonymous

I guess the Samsung Blaze 4G took a number reduction.

  • Rashad3g

So what is the T999 if that’s not the Blaze 4G?

    • Anonymous

      Galaxy S3?

    • Anonymous

I’m HOPING Galaxy Nexus with 42mbps

  • Matthewsj

Still no high end windows phone device? T-Mobile can sick it.

  • Anonymous

So T769 = Blaze 4G, HTC Ville = One S (or maybe Sensation II?), Huawei Prism = replacement low end phone?

    • Anonymous

I’m thinking the Prism is going to be a high end phone.

      • Anonymous

I seriously doubt any phone made my Huawei and sold outside of China will be a high end phone.

        • Anonymous

T-Mobile could be doing for Huawei what they once did for HTC.

There are so many more things pointing toward the Prism being high end.
Huawei has announced some high end ICS phones at CES that pack HSPA+ and are extremely thin.  T-Mobile woudn’t register a domain name to build up anticipation and hype for a low end phone… and there wouldn’t be accessories like charging docks for low end devices either.

        • Anonymous

You’re right low end phones don’t get things like charge docks.  But I don’t think they will brand the phones with Huawei.  Maybe they will try to push it as the T-mobile G3?  It could be either the Honor, Ascend D1, Ascend P1.

        • guest

Oh God! Please don’t say it’s gonna be the G3! I don’t want LG or Huawei anywhere near my baby, lol! From what I read on gsmarena, Huawei is stepping up their game big time but I don’t know if we can trust them quite yet. I hope they will turn into the next HTC but not sure if I’d trust them with a big brand name like the G series yet. Look what LG did to it, lol! And not to mention the MyTouch line…. all bad stuff. Or worse, in the MyTouch’s case.

  • Youngt82

Nice David:) Really looking forward for MWC and T-Mobile has in store. Like I’ve said before T-Mobile will go hard from 2 quarter to the end of the year. Get ready for tons of hot powerful devices and LTE!!!!

P.S. but then again don’t expect to much from them because HTC and Sammy said they will slow down on releasing many devices this year since its more quality not quantity

    • http://twitter.com/AnthonyRyan89 AnthonyRyan∆

      tmo is getting lte ?

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Kelvin-Celsius-Jan/725112693 Kelvin Celsius Jan

I don’t think tmo is going in the direction of LTE, just sayin.

  • Jonathan K. Fung

okay, Now T-769 is confirmed as Blaze 4G, What is T-999 then?

    • jon

I am going to guess the galaxy nexus..

      • Jonathan K. Fung

i hope so too, but it could be something else….

i am still putting my purchase plan of the i9250 on hold until i find out wut T-999 is.

        • jon

yeah…the rumors last week of that white nexus to verizon just didnt ring true for me. White phones are more t-mobiles style. My gut tells me that the white nexus is headed to tmob. I hope they carry both flavors though..

        • Anonymous

Tmobile hasn’t ever offically carried any Nexus devices, they have always been sold directly from Google.  TMO sells AOSP style devices under the Gx line…  I think the T999 designation has been reassigned or is being saved for a Galaxy S III.

        • http://tmonews.com David

Actually, the Nexus S was sold at Best Buy.

        • jon

Correct David. Also, while tmob never carried the nexus one on its website; if I remember correctly, the nexus one was also subsidized at 179 when activated with tmob on a two year contract. So, strike two there sparky…

        • Jonathan K. Fung

i agree.  the nexus line is somehow “indirectly” subsidized with t-mo plan.

I hope t-mo carries the 32GB version.  when rumor said samsung cancelled the plan of both cdma and gsm models of 32GB Gnex…my initial thought is “is it because the recent lawsuit apple files against Gnex”

To Dave,  hope you can find some more exciting news for us :)

    • Vim

Either it’s the Galaxy Nexus, perhaps modified to support 42Mb/s HSPA+, or something very close to the Galaxy Nexus with TouchWiz thrown on top. I really hope it’s not the 32GB version of the Galaxy Nexus that recently got axed.

      • Jonathan K. Fung

you maybe right.  After reading the press release of the blaze 4G,  my guess of T-999 now might be the t-mo version of of SGSII Skyrocket HD.   this is the only device i could think of that is as close as Galaxy Nexus.

As for the 32GB version of Gnex,  it might samsung cost-cutting plan.  Or it might be Apple’s recent lawsuit against this device so samsung stopped everything at this current moment.

        • Vim

T-Mobile wouldn’t get anything out of a Skyrocket.  It’s just a Galaxy S2 with LTE support and a slightly faster 1.5GHz (instead of 1.2GHz) Exynos cpu.  T-Mobile hasn’t even started building an LTE network and switching to an Exynos chip from the current 1.5GHz S3 Snapdragon would require downgrading the HSPA+ support from 42mb/s to 21mb/s.

        • Jonathan K. Fung

i understand the skyrocket HD is LTE device for AT&T.  But wut i m saying is  t-mo version is HSPA+ version device, a slightly enhanced version of SGSII.

  • James

    Don’t hold your breath…
HTC Ville (as seen on the link David posted) is basically the Sensation (I guess a better version of it..but still has bloated sense, gross).
    Samsung T769 is the Blaze 4g (touchwiz…gross)
Prism ( a low/ mid range android device, even if it was a high end device…Huawei is crap, I sold their tablets and phones before so I know what I am talking about)

I am still hopeful that TMO will bring a great device, but it will be during the end of the summer/ fall term this year.

    Stay thirsty my friends.

    • guest

I think someone has had too much to drink, lol! Remember, you won’t turn into the most interesting man in the world by drinking or quoting bad commercials! That guy’s just a Sean Connery knockoff anyways…. And it sounds like you hate all the best phones?! Go play with your iphone or whatever.

      • James

i have a G2. i only like stock android…and I would never hate on “best phones”, i just hate tmobiles lineup of phones..plus by the image thats been leaked here.
no need to get all antsy on my opinion of these devices

  • Anonymous

Ahhh what is the T-999 it’s killing me.  There is a greater chance now it is a Galaxy Nexus.

  • Emily Delgado

Great!! I know these are probably not the best phones out there, but at least TMO is trying to compete!!!! Hopefully we get the iphone soon too!

  • Vim

So that explains why the Amaze 4G is going EOL.  The Ville/One S is basically an updated Amaze.  T-Mobile still badly needs something with a 720p display like the Galaxy Nexus or the Edge/Endeavor/One X to keep up with the other carriers. It’s pretty sad when even AT&T has a 720p phone, but T-Mobile does not.

    • Anonymous

thought they Blaze 4G has a 720p Amoled?

      • Anonymous

Nope….that was tmonews thinking the T999 was the blaze. The blaze has the same screen as the S2.

        • Anonymous

why would you get the S2 vs the blaze then?  unless blaze is single core and alot cheaper.  I think the SGS2 has been the best selling phone on t-mo for the last couple of months.  I know alot of stores ran out on valentines

        • Vim

At 4.5 inches, some people consider the S2 too big.  The Blaze is smaller.

        • Anonymous

Same reason the Galaxy S 4G replaced the regular Galaxy S. Similar to the S2, with hspa+42.

      • Phozfate

         that isn’t confirmed just assumed

      • Vim

As Nathan118 has pointed out, it’s the T999 that has the 720p display.  The Blaze 4G is the T769 and its display is the same resolution as the Galaxy S2, ie. WVGA (800×480). The Blaze is basically an S2 that has been made a little smaller for those that think the S2 is too big for their hands, the display is 3.97 inches instead of 4.5 inches.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Kelvin-Celsius-Jan/725112693 Kelvin Celsius Jan

The Ville is supposed to have a snapdragon S4 processor, i believe.

      • Vim

Yup, the S4 is a performance-tweaked S3 with double the memory bandwidth and a new, considerably more powerful GPU.  Furthermore its die has been shrunk from 45nm to 28nm resulting in improved energy management.  That along with the ability to fully shut down the 2nd core when it’s not used is said by Qualcomm to result in 25-40% improved power efficiency. It theoretically should not only be faster at the same 1.5GHz clock speed, but also have significantly longer battery life.  To top it all off the SoC should be cheaper to make resulting in cost savings for both HTC and T-Mobile.  It should be a win all around.

The Ville is also considerably thinner than the Amaze, is said to have a super amoled display, and Beats audio.

        • Anonymous

indeed! this is like an amaze but without:
          -GUI lag
          -leaky washed out screen
          -poor battery life
-worse performance than the samsung GS2 even though the hardware is the same

it actually sounds like a pretty dam decent phone!

  • Anonymous

If the Ville doesn’t have HSPA+ 42 that will be a shame.  There would be nothing going for that phone besides the thinness.

    • Jonathan K. Fung

based on history of HTC device,  the sensation (both US and international models) and the incredible S (international model that works on t-mobile) are up to 14.4 Mbp downlink (HSPA network.)

I highly doubt HTC will go up to 42 Mbps downlink (a jump) if they offer 21 Mbps downlink and also considered as 4G speed in HSPA+ network.

  • Anonymous

Hmmmmmmm. Maybe the prism is the ascend P1S. That would be awesome. I can hope, can’t I?

  • Anonymous

Nice! Like myself and a few people have said….T769 is now officially the blaze! Makes sense…same screen as S2.

That leaves the unnamed T999. HD screen…high number…gotta be the nexus. No way is it the S3. The S2 got announced around now, but didn’t hit US carriers until Fall.

T999 and T769 both got wifi certification at the same time, so hopefully we hear something at Mobile World Congress.

  • Kindredkian

tmobile just needs get some more powerful version of the note and the S3 and be done with it

  • Jody Smith

I’m hoping the t999 is the nexus as well, although I hope they get something truly high end by the time  i’m up for full upgrade in May.  I’m not counting on it though.  On a more nervous note I’m thinking the LG X3 is going to be the T-mobile G3X, with a vanilla-ish ICS, 720p screen and Tegra3.  That is going to be a tempting piece of hardware, bad ancestry or not.

    • Jonathan K. Fung

after reading the press release,  i would now guess T-999 might be t-mo version of SGSII Skyrocket HD.

It might not be Gnex :(

  • David

And still no new High-End Windows Phone devices. Bo wonder tey lost so many customers this quarter. I guess I am leaving T-Mobile in March 18 to switch to AT&T for Nokia Lumia 900. :(
