LG G-Slate Passes FCC

The folks over at the FCC have just passed an LG device (model no: LG-V909) with our favorite, AWS bands. Looking at the device pictured in the FCC filling, it looks to a tablet, which shouldn’t be a surprise if you watched the T-Mobile CES event yesterday. Besides an FCC label, nothing new is reveled regarding the G-Slate other than it should be coming in the next few weeks as T-Mobile announced. Who’s ready for … [read full article]

T-Mobile Posts Dell Streak 7 Promo Video

It wasn’t too long ago that the Dell Streak 7 broke cover and was announced by Dell and T-Mobile.  Now both are setting their sights on launching this fast and powerful device.  What is looking to be the first 4G tablet will surely be capable, full of features and even competitively priced.  The year of the tablet is upon us, we just need to wait for them to hit the market.  In the mean time, … [read full article]

T-Mobile To Bring 25+ 4G Devices To Market In 2011

While I admit the lack of detail surrounding this number is a bit frustrating, 25 plus HSPA+ devices coming in 2011 at least leaves plenty to the imagination.  This number is a combination of data and phone devices which comes very close to our own assumed number of 24, though our information was specific to data devices.  Even so, 25 plus devices with at least some of them running on the upcoming 42Mbps HSPA+ network … [read full article]

T-Mobile Previews Their Upcoming 42Mbps HSPA+ Upgrade, With Video!

Editor’s Note:  I know the camera work is a little shaky, I had to do a balancing act with my laptop and taking notes so I’m sorry it’s not the best! T-Mobile showed off a little bit of their upcoming 42Mbps HSPA+ network by doing exactly what I would do to test it and that is to download an album and play a video game.  Honestly, if you’re a computer gaming person, the frame rates in the … [read full article]

T-Mobile Says No Way To Raised Prices For 4G Usage

While there was certainly a lot to look forward to coming out of the T-Mobile announcement in terms of data speeds, the most important point was that T-Mobile will not raise data plans for 4G usage.  T-Mobile said unequivocally that they don’t believe they need to charge a “premium or “toll” for 4G use.  This is great news, just great news as other carriers plan tiered pricing structures for use with their upcoming 4G networks.  It’s reasons … [read full article]

Hands On With The Dell Streak 7

It’s hard to get a real “hands on” with a device at an event like CES when everyone around you is clamoring for the same shots you want.  Still, we spent a few minutes with the Dell Streak 7 and it is impressive.  I don’t often use the words “impressive” and “Dell” in the same sentence but right off the bat this thing is faaaaast!  The touch screen was responsive and Vibrant and there was no … [read full article]

Fresh from the T-Mobile announcement at CES, Magenta has officially announced its plans for 2011.
