T-Mobile said last week that it’d have more deals coming throughout this month, and today it delivered.

Starting this Friday, November 22nd, T-Mobile is offering a free iPhone 11 or iPhone XR, or up to $700 off an iPhone 11, 11 Pro, XS, or XS Max. The discount will come via monthly bill credits, and customers can get up to four free iPhones with this deal.

T-Mo will also offer a free iPhone 8 or up to $450 off an iPhone 8 Plus with monthly bill credits when you add a line and trade in a qualifying iPhone, if you’re a person who hates notches.

On the Android side of things, T-Mobile will offer up to $300 off a Google Pixel 4 or 4 XL as well as the OnePlus 7T with trade-in. Add a line, add a line can’t they come up with something better than that

  • PiCASSiMO

Are there more details on the Pixel and 7T phones? The link only points to Apple products.

    • Alex Wagner

I just got more info on the Pixel and OnePlus offers and have updated the post.

  • If they had the 4XL 128GB, I’d consider the trade-in offer.

    • Acdc1a

Google has $200 off the 4 for Black Friday…

  • Alex Pilaia

$300 off 1+7T with what kind of Trade ins? Do we need to add a line for this as well??

    • J.J.

iPhone 8 or something in that range for $300, no new line require.

  • timmyjoe42

Where are the deals for existing customers that don’t need any extra lines?

    • J.J.

Go to Costco add a line, once you got your rebate then cancel the line. Costco offer rebate cards not bill credit

      • Alex Pilaia

So you can add a Tmo line at Costco and receive the same discounts/deals?

        • J.J.

Yes, costco give you rebate card so no need to wait for the 24 months bill credit. Cancel the new line when you no longer need it.(make sure get your rebate card before cancel, 4-6 weeks)

  • JLV90

Why would you get the free XR when you can get the 11 for free?

    • Chuan Ren

True! I think Apple should stop producing XR….

  • Russianrat

So there is always a deal for add a line. I get it, the promos are suppose to grow the subscriber base. But there should be some deals for existing subscribers as well.

    • Chuan Ren

It’s rare, but it had before. Latest was when iPhone 11 was released in Sept. I did take advantage of that promotion. No new line required but trade-in was needed.

  • Richld

True how many lines does one need?? If you ask T-mobile one for every day of the week. 15 years I have been with T-Mobile and in the last couple of years that’s all it’s been ADD a Line, Add a line. Only want to give deals for the new customer. Switching from Big Red to TMO we’ll give you up to $750 per line… Guess where that same customer is in 18 months??? Back at Big Red only switched over to get phone paid off… then switch back over to get another new phone. GIVE more DEALS to you core customer that is willing to stay for the long term…..

    • J.J.

TM track those switcher by mobile numbers so each number can only get discount 1 life time from TM.

  • Jazzyjeff215

instead of trade ins, what not just do a deal where they take $250 instant discount. that would be worth it. everything is either add a new line, trade in or BOGO. A instant discount would be welcomed in my opinion

    • J.J.

Goto Costco add a line, once you got your rebate then cancel the line.

      • Richld

that does not work anymore I thought?? they give you monthly bill credit tied to the added line.

        • Android_God

You could just cancel one of your other lines

        • Alex Pilaia

I spoke with a rep and you can not do this. “Since this offer requires a new voice line activation, customers can’t cancel an existing voice line with the intention of replacing it with a newly activated voice line to take advantage of this offer, even if the cancellation happens after the new voice line activation.”

        • J.J.

They give rebate card on this promo

      • Alex Pilaia

Can you go through the process on how to do this step by step? I am thinking about doing this.

  • stuman19741974 .

Will this deal work with SimpleChoice plan? The latest deal did not.

    • J.J.

      Nope

  • JJ

You forgot to mention these discounts are a joke since they require you add another line. Wow

    • Douglas Shell

I didn’t have to add a line to get my OP7T

  • Al R

So this article talks about trade in offers for the OnePlus 7T, but when you go anywhere on the T-Mobile website including the source link, it only talks about magenta Friday deals for the iPhone. I want to find out what phones are eligible for trade-in for $300 but I can’t find anything about it anywhere, other than this tmonews article. Does anyone have a link from T-Mobile?

    • Alex Wagner

Hey, I asked T-Mobile earlier today about the trade-in values and just got that info, so I’ve updated the post with it.

      • PiCASSiMO

Some of the trade-ins are poor…

$300 for OnePlus 7 Pro (Launched May 2019 for $700). So after 7-months, your phone drops $400 (or 57% in value)?

        And others are great…

$300 for the Pixel 3a (Launched May 2019 for $400). So after the same 7-months, your phone drops $100 (or 25% in value).

Sadly, I wished I got rid of our LG V20 at the Pixel 3a launch for $200. My 5T is worth more than $100 to me to trade in for the 7T. I will pass on anything from T-Mobile this year.

That said, I think that T-Mobile should consider some loyalty assistance credits:

        * For ever year that you have been with T-Mobile, you earn $10 credit to buy an new phone.
        * I have been with them since 2007, now 12 years, and that would be $120 off.
        * I can use that money to buy a phone once a year. So this year it will be $120. Next year, $130… and so forth.
        * No need for buying an extra line or getting a poor trade-in value for your phone, unless you have a Pixel 3a that you snagged earlier this year.

        • Douglas Shell

The cycle duration for phones is 2 years for most people, but seeing as the new devices come out every six months, the value drops fast after that.

What i don’t understand is why they gave me 200 for my OP5 but only offer 100 for OP5T

        • PiCASSiMO

I can see your point that with these mid-year new releases from some of the manufacturers, like OnePlus with the 5 and 5T, or even Samsung with S10 and S10 Note, the values of the earlier models will drop quicker than the full-year new releases like from Apple.

Then again, Apple has always held its value very well, and I’ve considered jumping ship from Android to iOS, but it’s the lack of customization is what turns me off. I’m used to the interface of Android… just like I am used to Windows XP/7/10 and even though I can navigate through OSx, I find that I’m less productive with Apple products.

  • Android_God

7T is a solid value. Great phone for the $ and better build versus LG

  • GreenMonkeyPants

Typical T-Mobile crap, ignoring faithful longtime customers by requiring another new line of service. I already have more than I need.

    • Acdc1a

IF you can find a better deal, why haven’t you left? Then you can get all the new customer freebies your new carrier has to offer.

      • GreenMonkeyPants

I looked deeply into switching when I bought my XR, even with the “deals” the other carriers were offering, the net gain is Zero by jumping ship.

      • Mike Smith

Exactly or get a better job!

    • Kit Baty

Every carrier treats their long-timers like crap. Trust me. I have been with Sprint for 20 years. If you want a great deal or a free device, or whatever – you gotta leave and go somewhere else. I am switching to T-Mobile this weekend. I am no longer showing any loyalty to carriers. Wherever there is a better deal – that’s where I will be.

      • Douglas Shell

So you intentionally stayed with a company for 20 years that treated you like crap?

Seems more like people like their bill or service and they stay.

        • Kit Baty

For the longest time, Sprint would sell their flagship phones for $100-200 if you sign a new contract. And for a while they were letting existing customers get a new phone every year. Then it became every 18 months. Then 2 years. Plus for the longest time, you couldn’t take your number with you when you switched providers. That was the big reason why we didn’t switch. There are reasons why people stay. But if you look at other carriers subreddits, every existing customer base complains that their carrier does nothing for old timers.

        • TylerCameron

“or the longest time, you couldn’t take your number with you when you switched providers”

          This is actually illegal.

    • Mike Smith

Of COURSE deal are for NEW business just like every other company on the planet.

    • Douglas Shell

I didn’t have to add a line. Maybe its just the phone you want.

  • Mikebluv

This is not a discount, this is a trade in program. Pixel 3 Xl is work 400 right now and they want to give me 300 for it?

  • Android_God

Or you could pick up the studio 6 right now from Newegg for $199 and tell T-Mobile to go pound f****** sand

  • No good post to ask this. I am seriously thinking about upgrading from the Note 9 to the Note 10+ or maybe trying the Pixel 4 XL or the new OnePlus. Has there been any idea when the 10+ 5G or the OnePlus 5G will be available?

  • How is the G7 on the list but the G8 isnt?

  • steven berson

Screw T-mobile! Tried to add a new line and trade in iPhone 6s plus and was told I don’t qualify because I’m not in there newer current plans and was only offered ($40). I’ve been with them for 7+ and this is how they treat loyal customers. SMH

    • Douglas Shell

So you are not on a current plan but you want current promotions, and T-mobile is the problem?

Just got my Oneplus7t and things went fine.

      • TylerCameron

The newer plans are extremely expensive, often for less features.

  • Douglas Shell

I mean, seems like their current approach is doing just fine.

    Why would they change?

  • mikeZo6

Apple gives $500 trade in iphone Xs $400 iphone X $300 iphone Xr
all come UNLOCKED already from Apple monthly payment way lower then Tmobile and no high down payments all year long

    • Noraa ralleuc

Mike, Is there links for the Apple Trade in?
