T-Mobile offering Samsung Galaxy S7 buy one, get one free deal this weekend

T-Mobile’s got a new deal, but it’s only be available this weekend.

Starting this Friday, you can get a free Samsung Galaxy S7 when you buy one on an Equipment Installment Plan. The second Galaxy S7 will be free with 24 monthly bill credits. If you cancel service before those 24 months are up, the remaining balance on the phone will be owed.

Also worth noting is that the second Galaxy S7 must be activated on a qualifying line of service. I reached out to T-Mobile to clarify what the qualifying lines of service were, and here’s how it breaks down:

  • Existing customers [with Simple Choice Unlimited plan]: Simple Choice Unlimited or T-Mobile ONE line is required with the second device to be eligible.
  • Existing customers [with plan other than Simple Choice Unlimited or T-Mobile ONE]: T-Mobile ONE plan required with first device and second device to be eligible.
  • New customers: Required to port-in a line and activate both devices with T-Mobile ONE service to be eligible.

The Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, and Galaxy S6 edge+ are also eligible for this offer if you’d prefer one of those devices instead of the Galaxy S7.

This deal will be available starting at 6:00 am PT on Friday, November 11, and it’ll run through 11:59 pm PT on Sunday, November 13. It’ll be offered at T-Mobile stores, online, and through telesales.

The Galaxy S7 may not be the newest Android phone on the block, but it’s still one of the better Android phones available. Its spec list includes a 5.1-inch 2560×1440 AMOLED display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 12-megapixel camera, and a microSD slot. Also of note is that the GS7 will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat.

All These damn phone companies are a scam!!!!!

      • Aaron Manning

You should have seen what I went through with Team MOBILE! I dont even know why I stick around with them it is all a big scam and they know it! There are so many stupid people out there that will do these contracts to, and then regret the next two years of there life, paying there phone bill. WAKE UP People!!!!

  • Acdc1a

Mywit has the S7 for half price right now anyway although it is a refurbished device. I’d rather have no strings and a refurbished device.

  • kev2684

Mastercard rebate was better since you’re not held down like a contract.

    • Jsun

      I agree!

    • Clem2011

It should be BOGOA2Y (Buy one get one after 2 years) not BOGO.

    • They_Call_Me_Bruce

I got the BOGO S6 Mastercard deal earlier this year. The best part was that Samsung was also offering a free Gear VR, or the lesser known $150 per phone rebate. I got two S6s for $300 after rebate. No two year requirement necessary.

  • Bradley Karas

Wish they were offering the Blue Coral S7 Edge

  • Francisco Peña

I’d jump at that deal BUT…..

Existing customers NOT on a SC-Unlimited or TOne aren’t eligible??? WTF?

    • dtam

you are eligible…but you can’t keep your old plan which sucks

      • Francisco Peña

different wording, same result. you can’t stay on your plan, unless its a SC Unlimited or TM One plan.. I would have jumped at this….

  • Panzer

So Visa Gift cards are done and bill credits are here to stay?

    • tranceformer978

Seems that way, never thought I’d missed those gift cards.

    • SirMakoto

looks like that’s the trend now. it’s ironic that t-mobile was the first one to get rid off contracts, and now also the first to lock in customers in a 24 month credit reimbursement plan (almost like a contract).

      • Acdc1a

Not almost. This is exactly the kind of declining penalty contract T-Mobile got rid of.

    • lomsha

Yep, to keep people from bailing.

  • Chris G

So what now, every TMo promo will require you to have a T-Mobile One plan to qualify, wow, this is getting stupid.

    • Jose

T-Mobile use to be exciting. Now it seems it’s all about screwing customers. What happened to the uncarrier? Is Tmobile losing lots of money on T-Mobile Tuesday that they want everyone to pay more for something they don’t want like the Tmobile one. And I hate the auto pay if not 5$ more per line. It’s stupid

      • Jsun

You’re right, Tmobile just isn’t as exciting to me as they were when I joined a few years ago. Now i just say they’re not bad whenever anyone ask.

Damn it! I forgot about that autopay charge. I have 5 lines and now I gotta pay $25 extra.

  • George

Once again T-Mobile forces you to add a line for promos. UnCarrier is as good as done!

    • Joe

They have always forced you to add a line. But this time they force you to keep the line for 24 months instead of being able to cancel it once the rebate comes in the mail. They learned from their mistakes from the first S7 BOGO event when so many people did just that and Tmobile lost a lot of money.

      • Jesus Christhole

Can’t you cancel a line, then add it?

  • vplaza

Welp, Samsung is selling the S7 Edge for $669 with a Gear VR included. That sounds like a fairly good deal. And MyWit has a refurbished S7 Edge for $447.

    • They_Call_Me_Bruce

Even if you buy the phone from somewhere else I am pretty sure you still get the Samsung promotion.

    • Acdc1a

And Mywit occasionally has coupons too.

  • Philip

Do I need to add a NEW line to get this offer?

    • Crucifixion Cruxi

Yes but then you can disconnect a line which I’m going to do

      • Philip

Do I need to disconnect the 3rd and 4th line? Its B1G1 free.

  • Guest

Is this suppose be a cancelation prize for people who don’t support the new president elect or is this for Note 7 exploded? I wonder….

    • Francisco Peña

Go to Canada then… Some people can suck it up and put on their big boy pants and deal with it, or some can bitch about it like you.

      • Jesus Christhole

How did you interpret that comment as bitching about trump? Guest is pro-trump, he’s ripping on people who didn’t support him and t-mobile for the note 7. It was sarcasm, learn some reading comprehension.

  • They_Call_Me_Bruce

It’s this an either or between the second phone or tablet deals TMobile is currently running, or can you double up and get both?
