iPad mini 4 now available from T-Mobile’s online shop ahead of in-store launch

UPDATE: T-Mobile tells me that the pricing on its website is incorrect. The actual pricing is $0 down, 23 payments of $22.09, and 1 payment of $21.85. Also, as JLV90 points out, the iPad mini 4 doesn’t include band 12 LTE support. Its LTE band support includes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 38, 39, 40, 41.

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus aren’t the only new pieces of Apple kit that are arriving at T-Mobile this month, because today ol’ Magenta began offering the iPad mini 4 in its online shop.

The iPad mini 4 is now available from T-Mo for $0 down and 24 payments of $22.08 per month for the 16GB model, or $529.99 full retail. If you’d like to step up to 64GB of storage, the monthly payments remain the same. but you’ll put $99.99 down or pay $629.99 full retail. And if you want the capacious 128GB model, the down payment grows to $199.99 and the full price goes up to $729.99.

T-Mobile also plans to begin selling the iPad mini 4 in stores, but those sales won’t begin until September 25. It’s also worth noting that while T-Mobile hasn’t officially announced when it’ll begin selling the Apple Watch in its stores, a report from MacRumors claims that Apple’s wearable will arrive in stores on September 25 as well.

The iPad mini 4 is the newest version of Apple’s small tablet, and while it looks similar to the iPad mini 3, it’s got some notable changes. Those include an upgrade to an A8 processor, improved 8-megapixel rear camera, 2GB of RAM (double the RAM in the iPad mini 3), and a thinner body that measures 6.1mm thick.

important to note none of the new iPads announced at the last event have band 12. Maybe the iPad air 3 will have it or iPad Pro 2.

I think Apple is reusing the old modem chipset from the 6. Having band 12 in the Pro 2 will give people a reason to upgrade.

jesus these things are expensive. I just got a g pad f for 240.

    • it’s cheap because it’s sucks compared to the iPad. You might as well complain that an Audi cost too much compared to a huyndai.

      • PiCASSiMO

Actually the Audi is usually a rebranded Volkswagen, save for interior and exterior details. So it’s closer to Hyundai than you think, especially when you include the Genesis that is sized near the A8 and priced closer to the A4.

        • You mean save the better engines, better interior, better suspension, more luxurious interior, better materials, better designs, more features/tech, and better AWD systems?

Yea, it’s just a rebranded vehicle. That’s like saying an RS4 is just a slightly better tuned than an A4 or an M5 is pretty much the same as a 535 with more power.

Give me a break. Just because you know that Audi is part of VW, it doesn’t mean they’re identical vehicles with different skins. Even the VW SUVs drive like trash compared to their Audi version.

Agreed the iPad is better but not worth twice the price.

How do they still start this crap with 16gb. Absolutely ridiculous.

Why no band 12 support? That is dumb, I was syched to hear the ipad mini 4 was on T-Mobiloe, I was going to upgrade my ipad mini with 128gb to the new ipad mini 4 with 128gb hoping support for band 12. The only advantage is the 2gb of ram which is great but not sure if enough to upgrade. Probably will anyways but im pissed no band 12. Had to vent, sorry people, seldom do I vent. Love T-Mobile and of course John Legere.
