From your emails and your blog comments we know how hotly anticipated this device is and this is the first glimpse we’ve gotten at a branded for T-mobile USA device. While we’ve had already had a few hints at the “Rhodium” coming to T-mobile USA, these pictures continue to show “concrete” evidence of an existing prototype. Of course, we can’t verify any authenticity so we’re as always, still a bit skeptical.

Well a quick glance at the above pic shows a number of HTC devices, some presently available and some mysteriously already inside T-mobile’s systems. So, what do we have, lets start off with the Cleo. Woops my bad, I thought Samsung Cleo for a moment here, HTC Cleo, no idea what that is! The Dash of course needs no explanation. The Dream, ah yes the Dream. Could it be that the Dream is a holding spot for our as of yet to be named next generation Android device, or something else entirely?! The excalibur? Wouldn’t that be the Dash? Am I missing something? The Maple, aka S522 aka Snap, previously thought to arrive, then thought to not be coming and now we know its arrival is indeed scheduled for later this summer. The Opal, nothing this website has ever reported on but a quick google search turned it up as the successor to the original HTC Touch. Having no concrete anything on this device coming to magenta, we’re skeptical until something leaks but realistically we’re not holding our breath. For the big finale, we’re talking Rhodium, aka Touchpro2, a device a large number of you are anticipating or should I say lusting after. For you Wing fanatics, this device needs no introduction and is almost certain to be a fantastic follow up to the popular Wing. So while nothing out of this leaked shot is concrete, we definitely have more than good reason to suspect a number of these devices exist and are coming soon. Still, its always nice to see whats really loaded in a carriers computer system.

Those waiting for a much delayed update to the Wing, can start salivating a little more now. The Rhodium aka Touchpro2 just hit the FCC according to the fine folks over at Engadget. Not much info comes in way of the FCC report, and unless you are really interested in looking at pictures of radioactive levels, don’t bother hitting the FCC link that will follow this article. Either way, with the codename RHOD100 out in the wild now, feel free to peruse the FCC database as often as you might like to find more information!

While this isn’t the first time we’ve gotten a glimpse of this slide out touchscreen bad boy, its now completely safe to call it for T-mobile USA. The fine folks over at wmpoweruser have received a tip giving them some confirmed details on a small number of devices from the previously leaked HTC lineup. The above pictured phone, known as the HTC Rhodium is now “confirmed” to be headed to our dear magenta. We’ve believed this to be the case for a while now, but every confirmation, every tip help our hopes for T-mobile giving us the very best devices on the market. The specs regarding this device are still best guess, but we’re hoping for some horsepower under the hood to run this thing smoothly and quickly.

Further confirmed out to today’s info, is the confirmed release of the HTC Maple to T-mobile, though we already figured that out a few days ago. Not really sure how I feel about the looks of this one, the bubbly looking keys definitely need an up close inspection because right now, it looks like a childs today running windows mobile. 

So to all you Wing fans, who have been quietly and patiently (ridiculously long I might add) it looks like you finally have a glimpse of what the replacement to your beloved is. Both phones are expected to drop around May of 2009, so start saving that money!
