In short, AT&T had an earnings report today and had a few statements regarding the process of the merger.  Wayne Watts, of AT&T, told those listening in that they are still confident that the merger will be approved by the FCC and DOJ in the first quarter of 2012.  Specifically, AT&T “remain[s] confident that [they] can satisfy the FCC and DOJ.”  So nothing has really changed.  In other news, that’s my favorite picture regarding the merger (just saying).
