Apple launches iOS 13.2.3 update

Apple continues its rapid pace of releasing iOS 13 updates today.

iOS 13.2.3 and iPadOS 13.2.3 are now available for download. To grab your update, launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, tap on “General”, and then tap on “Software Update”.

There aren’t any major new features included with the iOS and iPadOS 13.2.3 updates, but there are some bug fixes and performance improvements. Apple’s changelog says that these updates fix an issue that could prevent apps from downloading content in the background as well as another bug where photos, links, and other attachments might not display in the Messages details view.

iOS 13.2.3 includes bug fixes and improvements for your iPhone. This update:

  • Fixes an issue where system search and search within Mail, Files, and Notes might not work
  • Addresses an issue where photos, links, and other attachments might not display in the Messages details view
  • Fixes an issue that could prevent apps from downloading content in the background
  • Resolves issues that may prevent Mail from fetching new messages, and fail to include and quote original message content in Exchange accounts

Apple has pushed out several updates for iOS 13 in the two months following the major iOS 13 release. Some folks have complained about iOS 13 being buggy, and so Apple has been working to smooth out iOS and iPadOS, squashing bugs and improving performance with new updates every week or two.
